yeah, luckily my LCS had a few to choose from and the store owner was nice enough to let me check everyone of them out and they all had something small "wrong", but still one of my favorite pieces I own and I can't wait to own a movie version as well....whenever it comes out

yeah, luckily my LCS had a few to choose from and the store owner was nice enough to let me check everyone of them out and they all had something small "wrong", but still one of my favorite pieces I own and I can't wait to own a movie version as well....whenever it comes out

thanks, it flanks my tv on the left and I sometimes find myself just staring at it when I'm trying to watch tv. A movie version on the opposite of this would just be beyond awesome

I would rather have the 1940's shield than the movie version. I've always thought having the two would be a great display. I hate how dark the blue is on it, it almost looks black.

There's been some concern that Nazis won't be making an appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger. Fred Van Lente, who wrote the movie prequel "Captain America: First Vengeance," tells Newsarama we will be seeing Nazis in the form of Hydra:

Captain America: First Vengeance is chockfull of Nazis, particularly once we start getting into Johann Schmidt’s origin in chapters 3 and 4. They’re not downplayed. Schmidt runs an organization called Hydra, which starts as a part of the Third Reich power structure, and so therefore they are Nazis.

I can sort of see why people are like, they’re not seeing a bunch of guys in SS uniforms or Gestapo uniforms running around in the Super Bowl trailer— that’s because many of the Nazis in First Avenger wear Hydra uniforms.

It is not some kind of rewriting of world history. There are Nazis in the movie, I’ve read the script. It is not trying to pretend that the Nazis didn’t exist, or that World War II didn’t happen the way we all know it from history.


Thats a cop out explanation imo.
Why dont you just say the movie has members of starfleet in it, but theyre wearing Hydra uniforms is all.
So intellectually dishonest.
Oh well, we shall see.

Agreed. I'm pretty scared for this movie actually. As much as the fan boy in me wants to like it... the director does NOT instill confidence in me.

I'll be genuinely surprised if this movie is better then Fantastic Four.

As long as the film acknowledges that the Hydra are Nazis, I'm okay with them not being shown in the standard SS type garb.

Personally, I don't care whether Nazi are depicted in the film but the response was plain goofy. Can he be anymore ambiguous
