Captain Antilles is the next 12" Star Wars figure

I'll probably get this figure eventually to go with a Vader. If I end up with an exclusive Vader that is. Still on the wait list. However, there are quite a few more 12" I'd rather get before ever jumping on this guy.

pass. i would have bought a tarkin though. vader can just choke the 12 in leia or han if he wants to. i mostly only buy characters i like. i don't need to buy the obscure ones.

If they really want to sell more, maybe they should offer the Vader choking hand with Antilles. Or an alternate "ugh" choking face.

I've been considering seeing if I could get a custom commission on a 'being choked' headsculpt going for this guy. It would make for a fun display, and the Sideshow dio can provide excellent reference....

Not really. It's very cartoony looking.

I got the email too. I think that it's kind of sad what sideshow has come to to sell a product. At first everyone was like "WOW", then when they saw the figures they were like "WHOA". Then the prices went up and the quality didn't change and they said "UHH". Like I said before, not every Star Wars character is worth $90.00 on the buck.

Instead of begging us to buy it, they should learn from their mistakes. They shouldn't be oblivious to the economy either. I also find these Jeff Dean emails to be ineffective to convince me to buy some of their slow-moving inventory. Money talks. Slash the prices aggressively, like I've done when I've sold some of my own depreciated Sideshow pieces.

I'd LOVE to hear how they feel about SW FRAMES sales. I mean, what are they ultimately going to do, slash them by 90%? They haven't even sold the first 250 (out of 1,138). I would actually put down a good $300 for the FRAMES set.

I received the email as well. I was half expecting to see him on some special sale or something.

Antilles will not be a big seller but I agree that something as simple as an alternate gasping headsculpt along with a Vader choke hand added would have not only improved sales of Antilles but of Vader as well.

You should be able to. I don't really know, but I think he's just a customer service rep. He contacted me by e-mail selling me a Clone Obi because I had the exclusive on wait list. Basically saying my wait list may not convert, but he could charge a regular edition to my account. I replied to the e-mail and got responses back from him.

Don't know how much good will come of e-mailing him though. I doubt he has any control over anything, heh

Well, I may end up buying one when it inevitably becomes available for gift card use. If they have to send out these emails to try and sell it, I see it staying in stock for a very long time.
