Captain Antilles is the next 12" Star Wars figure

When did this thread derail?... You do realize that we've probably got a thread or two where THE Watchmen could be discussed...

Somebody said "The Watchmen" then someone else attacked him for the use of the name. Then came my response. Then everybody turned into question-heads, so I explained. I know it's difficult to do so, but if you actually READ back a few pages, you'll see it. Anyway, back on topic.

I don't care that Antilles doesn't come with an alternate headsculpt or a vader "choke" hand. He's a good figure at a comparatively fair price to help flesh out a scene as well as fortify the Rebel Military line.

C'mon now. When the explanation is just a few pages back and nobody goes back to see what it's about, yet doesn't hesitate to post a response at the end? That's not an insult. That's stating the obvious. Why do you always have to pick fights?

Back on topic, Antilles isnt a hard leap for SS nor imo is it a fantastic execution. I have however ordered it as Im a fan of Rebel Troopers and have one custom and the SS on order also

Having recently seen e5sargemac custom A-Wing pilot I just wish that they would announce one of those, or a Y or B-Wing.

His execution of the A wing is so detailed and thats as much to do with the detail of the character as it is his superb workmanship.

Surely SS can after praji and antilles (which are some of the most undetailed characters in the SW universe), they could find someone as intricate and as detailed as Boosh to do next

Antilles and the Trooper will make OK background figures but who wants ok background figures. Boosh with the Jabba setup is a superb background figure.

Yeah, that figure was phenomenal. Reminded me of Sideshow's WWII line as far as the quality paint job went. I'm hoping the prototype represents what they'll release. It seems like sideshow, with every third or fourth release, tends to put out a bland turd of a paint job like Yavin Luke, or they paint them to look like trannies who forgot to wipe off all their lipstick (Smuggler Han). I just hope the paint job is on par with the quality of the prototype and the quality we've come to expect from Sideshow.

I'm one of the moderators who have the utmost joy of having to read through pretty much every post--- even the ones that are seemingly placed without reason in areas that cause mucho derailment .

Generally I try to get the threads back on track through ha ha moments :mona rather than any hard handed way...

Sorry you're not familiar with that. Maybe you should actually READ a few of the threads on this site.

But, Back on topic... I'm looking forward to this guy and a Tantive IV 1/6 hallway display is definitely in my forseeable future.

That hasnt happened in a while now. The only figure that was almost exactly as their prototype was Old Ben Kenobi. Most of the faces of the newer figures look nothing like the protos. And that has now carried over to their PFs. Look at Ventress as an example.

I would normally have absolutely no desire for an A-wing pilot or any other pilot, but that figure is phenomenal. I wish that was the type of quality we could expect on a regular basis.

I wasn't really very keen on the CPT Antilles figure initially but after seeing the pics on SS's website over and over again, I am now very tempted to empty all my remaining SS points to get this figure.

I am setting myself a target. If this figure is still available at SS by 31 Oct, I will buy him using my hard-earned points. Sigh.... I am just too weak to resist the "Force".

I am passing over this figure as I believe that it will be easy to get off the secondary market a couple of months down the road after its release and probably at a lower cost too.

Assuming Antilles was originally planned as a trio bundle with the Rebel Fleet Trooper, I wonder what the 3rd guy is? Just another RFT? Maybe a Dodonna figure, same type outfit except for the long coat. Maybe that's who's coming next. If so, than the 3-pack theory is obvious.

I think if they made Antilles and RFT a two-pack for $119 it probably would have sold better.

And yeah, Wor-Gar....Dodonna would have been a great capper on a Rebel "Trio"...on his own he's kinda lackluster but with Antilles and the Rebel Trooper...he's have been pretty cool...

Praji, at the moment is still one of a kind, there are now 2 RFT. Praji is just more bad ass anyway. I passed on both RFT, by the way!!
