Not revealing edition run info would make for a very interesting test.
I wonder what percentage of cancellations it would save.
As a buyer, I would want that info. While it may not encourage me either way, I'm not generally a big fan of the withholding of information which could make a difference between whether or not a fan might make a purchase.
Revealing ES would further exacerbate the problem.
SS is continuing to try to get people on the WL (see this weeks NL) for a statue that has probably been overproduced relative to it's demand.
The ES will be revealed at the last moment but in the meantime SS is hoping more people get on the WL.

If they announce a bloated EX ES, my guess is a lot of people will be deterred...I get the feeling there are a lot of fingers on the cancel button, ready to go with the reg if the EX ES isn't pretty.

I'm betting that's why a lot of folks want to know about the ES...a huge ES might be an indicator this piece could eventually be picked up on the secondary market at a significantly lower price.

The truth of the matter is that the Ex often sells for more in the secondary market. Ultimately, it comes down to that one simple fact. Should doubt creep in regarding secondary market potentialities (generally because of a high Ex size), some people will cancel.

I hope that I'm part of the crowd that gets the limited ES. I wouldn't mind being one of the few to own something...

Wow...can't believe they are doing that. What about the collectors that ordered the Exclusive version in the first place? I wasn't offered a lower price at all. Very bad business move on Sideshow's part in my opinion.
