I had to post this article about the porn deal because it cracked me up.

Seen here having a ******* blast at her sentencing hearing today, and why wouldn’t she? She’ll be out next week. Casey Anthony’s career in porn is over just as soon as it began which seems to happen a lot when sex is involved. At least to me because I’m so good at at it. TMZ reports:

“It has become obvious to us that Vivid fans, and people in general, want nothing to do with her and that includes a XXX movie.”
Hirsch explains, “We were ready to make an offer to Casey to star in one of our feature films. It’s clear to me now, however, that there has been an overwhelmingly negative response to our offer and so we’ve decided to withdraw it.”
He adds, “We now believe that we underestimated the emotional response that people are having to the verdict. A movie starring Casey Anthony is not what people want to see.”

Look, I’m not about to call Steve Hirsch out on milking this thing for publicity because I’m not writing Casey Anthoy posts to travel back in time and stop a mother from duct-taping her kid to death. That said, there’s no ____ing way he expects us to believe people who watch porn magically developed a sense of decorum overnight considering every single guy reacted to yesterday’s news with, “Yeah, I’d probably look at that.” Granted, Steve Hirsch has access to more data than I do, I guarantee there’s a very small demographic out there willing to stop mid-bate because the naked women having sex in front of them was controversially acquitted of murder charges. “Her mom tried to say she was Googling chlorophyll? Jesus, I’m going to be disgusted when I’m done here. SHOCK-A-BOOEY! — Or maybe not.” *whistles over to the Kleenex*

Hundreds of kids are killed each year...and that is my biggest problem with all of this. Why isn't the media reporting on any of those cases? Because they pick and choose which case to report on based on which will get them higher ratings...PERIOD. Case in point: there was a local woman who put her 6 month old baby in a microwave and nuked the baby to death. Where was the national coverage of her trial and 2 retrials? The answer is simple: there wasn't any due to the color of skin.

You hit the nail right on the head. There was just a woman here who drowned her two kids and got off because she is "insane". Where is the news story on that?

There is a demographic of women that feed off of this stuff. Well two really. First you have your angry single woman type. Usually around 40 to 60, divorced or single, average looking, and never had kids. This group can be insane to deal with. They are already angry at the world because of their situation. Now have another angry mob leader point the finger at a younger more attractive woman and they pounce.

Next you have your Nancy Grace type. Who are the women with a couple kids, maybe went through some tough times, and think everyone should raise their kids just like she did. They take this very personal. So personal in fact, when they talk about it, it's like they are talking about their own friend or family member. IE, they can't separate emotions out of it.

"None Hot Mom" knows how to bring out the worst in these women. That is why the case has been given so much attention IMO. It's almost like their own personal soap opera.

The release date for Casey Anthony has been rescheduled for July 17, not July 13 as originally planned, Florida's Orange County Corrections said in a statement late Thursday.

The new date is a result of "a detailed recalculation of the projected release date," according the statement from Allen Moore, the department's public information officer. The statement gave no details on how the extra days were calculated.

Once again you're wrong: not everyone is surprised by the verdict. Those that ARE surprised are just much louder about it.

i'm just saying the way it is. people are mad and casey better watch her back. if people find out the jurors names they could get addresses and start vandalizing their property.

And hopefully if this happens, the cops learned something about collecting actual evidence that leads to a conviction.

Lightning Strikes Caylee Anthony Memorial Hours After Casey Sentenced

Because this story isn’t ____ed up enough, lightning apparently struck the makeshift Caylee Anthony memorial just hours after Casey Anthony was sentenced yesterday for lying to police officers about her dead daughter because innocent people do that. Anyway, you can only guess the type of quotes flooding into the local paper already:

“It could be a sign from the angels that they aren’t happy with what’s happened,” said 40-year-old Keyla Lugo of Orlando, who has visited the memorial in the Chickasaw Oaks subdivision twice this week. “It’s a sad day for Orlando, for Caylee and for justice. The rain, the lightning, the storm — it’s the heavens indicating they aren’t happy.”
… “God has spoken. Casey’s guilty,” said Nicole Perez of Vero Beach.

It's a valid point in my opinion. Even 20/20 did a study on why more white children than minority children are reported on. The same study was done for missing women. It's not right. However, it is true and a factual statement. It has nothing to do with "pulling the race card".

Ween my comment wasn't meant to offend. I have been in sales/marketing pretty much all of my life. You really have to know your target audience when trying to sell/market to people. You need to adapt your style when speaking to different people. It's the nature of the business. I could go on about what I see out of men as well. However, that is really off topic, and has nothing to do with this thread. The women I mentioned above however, are Nancy Grace's audience (bread and butter if you will). Those are her money makers.

Drowned her five children in the bathtub. Not guilty by reason of insanity in an appeal that overturned her conviction four years earlier. That was a capital case as well, but she got life with possibility of parole after 40 years. Now that the conviction is history, she lives in a low-security state mental hospital.

I don't recall the outcry having been as extreme when she got off, and she confessed. It was black and white, but it seemed like there was a degree of sympathy for Yates that appears to be entirely absent for Anthony. And, no matter how certain everyone is that Anthony did it, there is absolutely no solid evidence that proves it.

I think your theory on the demographics is right on. Casey Anthony was a young, slutty, sociopathic piece of white trash. Andrea Yates was a homely, god-fearing mother of five children with post-partum depression. The reactions to each are telling.

you know who else got out off from a sick crime. l don't know if anyone remembers. here in canada a few years ago a chinese guy who beheaded that guy on the Greyhound bus, then starting eating a little bit oh his nose and ears.(this happened not far from where l live). well he is in a mental hospital and gets daily passes to go out and do things. now there is talk he is fully rehabilitated and might be released.

And it wouldn't surprise me if it had less to do with a lack of concern for non-white babies than it did for a sense of sympathy for non-white mothers. Casey Anthony's make better villains than poor, suffering black or hispanic mothers.
