Um, you do know she's been in jail since the Grand Jury indictment (approx 3 years) don't you? That's why she's going to get time served on the 4 misdemeanors. I'm sure she's been in protective custody the entire time as that's the norm in most jails/prisons for crimes like this.

So? Give her more! They can give her solitary if they think she's in danger. I hope they don't though.

Nah.....she's get off with nothing, then make a bunch of money and have a good life. That's just they way it is.

I'm wondering if they will try to go after her dad now? They can't do anything to her now. She can admit to something now and still not be prosecuted. It's crazy, but again I understand the verdict and it sickens me to say I feelnthe jury made the right call if you believe in the law as it stands. The prosecution dropped the ball big time! I also feel the dad used his police background to help cover things up.

Here's the most confusing part.

Dad supposedly moved the body and tried to make it look like a murder, after finding the girl drowned accientally. Later, the defense throws him under the bus as a sex offender against his daughter, which he refused to acknowledge. Mommy over there, reports the smell of dead body in the car for weeks, but stands by the daughter as being innocent. The girl could have been the brothers kid??? WTF kind of family is this? A little girl is murdered and this sounds like a Jerry Springer show.

This has to be the most bizarre trial I've ever heard of.

I heard about this when it first hit the news. I hadn't seen anything about it till today, when I saw the live verdict reading. I looked up the evidence after that. The whole thing is Twilight Zone IMO. All I can figure is the whole family is sick. The evidence was bad, so I don't know any more than the jury who killed the kid. It seems like the mother had significant fault in it one way or another. But I sure as hell don't want any of these people for a neighbor.

I agree. It's all crazy. However their craziness is why she got off. Reasonable doubt is a _____.

l don't think this is the end of her story. l know we will see the sick stuff. books, maybe a movie, her profitting from the crime, but she is so screwed up in the head and dumb she will do something else stupid in the future. just like OJ. he gets off for murder and is now in priison for a long time for other stuff. l bet she will be the same down the road, she will get into some kind of trouble, especially since she doesn't have a family anymore, she is on her own now, and that dummy won't no how to survive without mooching of her parents. l will shake my head if her family lets her back in the house after all this.

She won't be able to escape GODS judgment later on.
Keep the young little girl in your thoughts and prayers tonight.
GOD BLESS!!!

The thing is even her most hated critic has been profitting off of her story. Nancy Grace I'm talking to you. She has been trying to copyright "Tot Mom" and throws it around every two seconds when speaking. I wonder if she cares more about the little girl or her TV ratings? I know what my guess is and it isn't a little girl.

Another thing I find interesting is peoples reaction to these media stories. Lots of people have no problem mistrusting the media in almost everything. However, in this case, people are taking what the media says and reports as gospel. :dunno

TMZ is reporting that the porno companies are already banging down her door. Tot Mom? Insert a letter in the Tot and you have the perfect porno name!

Nancy Grace is a despicable human being. Now she's digging up & dishing dirt on the jurors' private lives.

I watched that last night. She really is one angry lady. I would like to see her and Judge Judy in a new reality show called "Boxing with the Stars". :rotfl

Seriously though, she is all but giving out their addresses. If I was on the jury I would look to sue her for defamation.

I for one would never want to be on a jury that came back with that verdict.

Those people are never, ever going to be able to tell anyone they were on the jury. Something would prolly happen to them.

And that's one of the most disturbing things about this.

Didn't the defense team practically threaten her with a character assassination suit?

I'm not sure? I do know that as a prosecutor she had a few defendants actually get off because of her court room antics. She obviously can't control herself to the point that she would lose cases and guilty people would be let go says a lot about HER character in my opinion.

What I heard on the news this morning was that the defense team issued a statement after the verdict was delivered, and they all but named her as a media voice who was pushing the boundaries of defamation. but I have been paying attention to none of this whatsoever, so I don't really know. Just curious whether it rang any bells.

Nope, the only thing I think was done was that the district attorney asked for the jury to not be named.

Now you have these idoits making death threats to the lawyers families and I'm sure the jury will follow. Talk about hypocrites!
