pretty much got it down thames. I had my reservations against craig, he wasn't too sauve looking, or charming looking, not able to walk into the room and get women to flock to him. but you know what?.....that isn't what his bond is all about. his bond is "if you mess with me, i'm going to kill you" type of bond. and it's AWESOME, much more like the bond from the book. I remember reading an interview with ian fleming, and he described bond as an brute, murderous instrument that the government would sick on people. odd, how that is not the image of bond from the previous movies, he was VERY watered down. glad this new bond has gone for the original image, makes for a much better character.

Look, I am not gonna rag Dec's (0r anyone else's) right to free choice to not like a certain person or character etc. especially in a casting situation where personal preferences take hold.

I don't care if you guys call me names and ridicule me. It will not dissuade me from my fervent opinion that Craig is not Bond. From the moment I heard he was cast I have disliked him and thought he was the absolute wrong choice for the part. Bond isn't blonde. He does not have Bond's charisma or charm. Bond is dangerous but also a playboy. I don't care how good the movie is, Casino Royale is just Layer Cake with a bigger budget.

Craig was pretty good.

I enjoyed it alot, but would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't 20 hours long. I know long movies are a Bond trademark, but there as room to trim.

Wow man.... I can't believe you could hate Batman Begins and BSG... BB was the closest thing to a comic book Batman existing on the silver screen. And BSG is one of the most inspired and interesting shows EVER made. The old series was interesting and campy, but the new one makes it look all the more dated....

I can understand your frustration and preference.... but come on....

Casion Royal made 40.6 million this weekend and was beat by Happy Feet by 2 million.

Those are bs Studio estimates, the actual numbers tomorrow will tell the story. Remember the Bond movie was much longer so it had fewer screenings and a higher per screen average than Happy Feet.

Word is the WB estimates are high and Sonys low so it's probably a lot closer...
