Unfortunately LOS2 isn't as strong location-wise as LOS1.

Don't get me wrong though, there are some times where you walk around and pause and will be turning the camera to get a glimpse around because some of the set-pieces are gorgeous. Especially because there is much more of a direct focus on Dracula's Castle in this one. So that sort of limits the variety of environments you will be seeing. It's much more "Castlevania-esque" than "Wandering the countryside to GET to Castlevania-esque" like some of the other games.

Ahh, too bad for me.
Glad to hear you understand what I was trying to describe. :hi5:

I loved the atmosphere in LoS trying to get to Dracula's castle. Walking on a forgotten path along a hilltop, bats flocking towards me, turning a corner on a hillside cliff, slowly revealing his eerie castle. That was just classic! :rock

Just beat the game...

The ending was very underwhelming. But I think it's on purpose because there's supposed to be DLC. Apparently some people found DLC codes within the disc and it's strongly rumored you will play as Alucard.

If that's the case, it'll probably run parallel with Dracula's story and perhaps leading to how Alucard becomes Zobek's "lieutenant". I truly hope it is a "sequel" and wraps up the story once and for all. Because this is supposed to be "the end" but they left it wide open.

Overall, an excellent game and fitting closing story to the Lords of Shadow saga. Completely turning the Castlevania story on its heels, making it epically awesome and making the Belmont/Dracula feud bigger, badder and more impressive than ever. :clap :clap :clap Bravo MercurySteam and Konami!

I sort of pray for a "Lords of Shadow" follow-up
