This is still my most highly anticipated release of the year, can't wait for it to drop. Though I wish that they had pushed it back a bit to release it for PS4.

I Just bought the First Game, Castlevania Lords Of Shadow on PS3, how is it though to you guys?

I loved it!! While I've read many people label it as a God of War clone, after playing it I have to admit that if you want to call it that you have to at least give it credit for being a good one.

Sure it's similar to DMC, GoW, etc, but I liked the story sequences much more. Great soundtrack and voice acting too.

I'm picking up the first one when it is released on Steam on the 27th of this month. It's Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Ultimate Edition.

Looking forward to this sequel.
I enjoyed the first installment and the multitude of attack combos.
The settings and ambient music were top notch!

Picked up the Lords of Shadow collection! I'm glad Konami brought Mirror of Fate to 360 and PS3 and in HD no less!

AWESOME game. You play three different characters who are essentially all the same in terms of weapons (whip/combat cross/dark pain) but have differences when it comes to their abilities (Alucard gains vampiric powers). The game is also vastly different from previous side-scrolling Castlevanias because it has a better emphasis on combat along with different whip combos. Graphics are sharp and crisp and the story is predictable but it is by far the BEST Castlevania side-scrolling game story you'll ever have. It makes the climactic Dracula fight THAT much more personal.

It also bridges the gap between LoS and the upcoming LoS2. You can also download it on the XBox Live and PS3 shops I believe.

The way things are shaping up, LoS2 is going to blow the prior games out of the water. I'm so sad it will be the last LoS game.. I hope whoever handles Castlevania in the future follows the LoS format.

I'm playing A LOT de LoS2 Demo, a very nice impovement, that's mainly because of Kojima's absence :)

Anyone playing this?

Unfortunately it's getting a lot of hate by game critics, but it's honestly NOT as bad as they make it out to be. Is it better than Lords of Shadow 1? Yes and no, but still a FANTASTIC game.

Playing as Dracula is awesome! :rock

Yeah, I was disappointed to read that.
It's getting 70% among 22 critics on the Xbox360. :(

Still, I'd like to try this some time. I'm just not sure that I'd like to buy it anymore.

I like it , the going back and forward in the castle to the city was pretty cool. I just saw the reviews and wow it's a fun game . And I agree Dracula is awesome to play

I spent quite a bit of time playing it over the weekend, and it's been a blast IMO. I'm not sure were all the hate is coming from, but I'm definitely loving the improvements made in the combat. I hope we get another game in the future because the Lords of Shadow games certainly seemed to get it right.

I found the environments, etc in the first one made the game more fun to play than LoS2. I also don't like the stealth sections. Seems so weird that you can take on a huge Medusa and other monsters, but not these dudes with the red armor and guns. I liked certain aspects of the game.

The ambiance and locations (backgrounds) of the first installment are awesome! Straight out of a horror movie.
I'm hoping LOS2 deliver that same feeling.

Unfortunately LOS2 isn't as strong location-wise as LOS1.

Don't get me wrong though, there are some times where you walk around and pause and will be turning the camera to get a glimpse around because some of the set-pieces are gorgeous. Especially because there is much more of a direct focus on Dracula's Castle in this one. So that sort of limits the variety of environments you will be seeing. It's much more "Castlevania-esque" than "Wandering the countryside to GET to Castlevania-esque" like some of the other games.
