oh well, maybe next year, hopefully. ss releases 2 pf's a year, on the average. nothing is for sure yet on what they would be releasing for 2010 (does the legolas pf count? its release is 2010 but it came out for preorder 2009), and from the ringwraith pf thread here, someone said it was pushed back since it's proving to be more costly in production than they'd expected. i'm just not sure how true that is. then at sideshow's poll, next to the ringwraith pf, eowyn comes in close second. oh my, i hope not, at least, not yet, when there is still a lot more choices of characters that can have the pf treatment...like...um... the CAVE TROLL!

i wouldn't mind if for a certain year, it's the only one lotr pf that comes out!

Is there any chance to see a “BIG” Premium Format Figure in The Lord of the Rings line (The Ringwraith seated on his horse, a Rohan rider or a Warg rider, or…) like the Speeder Bike and Scout Trooper Premium Format Figure?

Yes, there’s a very good chance that you’ll see something ‘uber’ in this line. We’ve had several concepts on the back burner with that sort of ambition, and we hope to realize at least one of them by 2011.

Yes, there’s a very good chance that you’ll see something ‘uber’ in this line. We’ve had several concepts on the back burner with that sort of ambition, and we hope to realize at least one of them by 2011.

I saw this Q&A right after SS posted it tonight and I almost fell out of my chair. If they are now considering some "uber" PF such as a horse and rider [something they said they would not do] then why not a CT?

Yes please. Every PF that Sideshow has done has been of one that SSW has done in polystone format as well (with the exception of Lurtz); granted, SSW did a LOT of statues, but Sideshow could have done Aragorn as Strider in his ranger duster outfit (not that I have anything against the Aragorn PF; it's one of my favorites but he was also potrayed in the outfit he wore during the fight at Amon Sul in SSW polystone, albeit without the Lothlorien cloak).

It's a Cave Troll so it's got to have a hammer and it has to be leaning over because of the size. So other than what has already been done, how would a Cave Troll be posed? Can't be standing up because that would just bee too big? Wouldn't it?

They did a Battle Troll yes, but from the siege of Minas Tirith, not the Battle of the Black Gates.
