For sure brother Jimmy!!! :hi5:

Thanks bro ! :hi5:

So will I, but I expect them to be sold out at 3:00. :lol

You really think so ? At that price ?

Hah. I love how you can't really see me in there...

Maybe I won't bother to return....
:lol

Who am I kidding.. I'm still trying to convince the wife, though we're passing on the VIP passes. They're coming out too early, and we're going to Egypt in November, and are saving our money for that.

Don;t you dare !You have to come !

But I know Egypt will be awesome too ! So enjoy that and share the pics :)

I'm doing more of that this time. Not the cutting, but the big panels and less collector panels by myself. :monkey2

I remember that! :rock

I have done most of those collector panels either for the coins or cereal boxes.

But like yuo I woudl like to get to more of the big panels too.

I wonder if this one would less crowded knowing there there will be another one in 2013 for Rotj 30 year anniversary.

I doubt they will do back to back
:dunno
Sold some stuff and made enough to get that eFX McQuarrie Vader. :rock

Nice ! When does it come ?

I can't believe so many of you are falling for this "VIP" foolishness. Save that money and put it toward something tangible, like travel, hotel, food, or actual collectibles at the show.

BTW, there are other ways to circumvent lines and get into the Exhibit Hall early... and without spending a dime.

Yeah, I doubt I'd really buy a VIP ticket if given the chance. That's a lot of coin to get in a little early.

So, about that second point... :naughty

Well, one way is to be a member of the R2 Builders or 501st and get on the crew to work one of the rooms. That will get you Crew or Exhibitor passes.

Another (probably easier) way is to volunteer for OfficialPix. Just pick up two 5 hour shifts and you'll be able to swap your regular 4-day badge for a Crew/Staff/Volunteer badge, shirt, and get free autos to boot: https://www.officialpixvolunteers.com/index.php

I've done it the past 3 Celebrations, and probably will again. Not for the access which I'd get through R2BC and participating in programming anyway, but because I know Anne and Philip and it's actually fun to help out behind the scenes there for a bit.

Anyway, for Celebration V I had a Crew pass that let me get in before even the Jedi Master "VIPs" could. And I paid less than a penny for it. ;)

Well make sure you share those here so we can get the 411 and not waste time in lines ! :1-1:

Yeah, please share IJ!

If I can save some coin I'm all for it, but with the possibility of having two kids under 2 in tow, I can't afford to stand in line for 2hrs waiting for a sig. :(:lol

Nevermind, just saw your post.

I had given OP some thought. But I will have my son and it's not as easy.

501st is out I can't build an armor in time. :(

I was mostly after VIP for the front row seating in the Celebrity Stage, but I will say it is looking less and less tempting...

Can't wait for CVI! 365 more days!

Celebration V Class of 2010

Now, that is a happy freak.

Never forget:

What a piece of crap!

That would be nice, but I still think the badges should do more for that price. Even something like a preview night like SDCC has instead of just getting access to the Celebration store on Wednesday would be a nice perk.

The difference between the front row and the 4th row is not worth $700, imho.

It's the four hours I lost for Mark Hamill alone, and the difference from regular to Knight is only about $250, and even waiting all that time only got me about tenth row...

Agreed. The VIP passes are a good idea, but those shelling out the coin really aren't getting nearly their money's worth.

Unless you count the thousands of dollars you spent building a droid:).

So, volunteer somewhere, get the badge/shirt and finagle your way around the 4th or 5th rows for free. ;) Seriously, it's not that hard... I've been doing it since Celebration II.
