Is there anyone who could put on more weathering on these to make it look like the promo pics? If so, I'd seriously consider getting one since so many people are cancelling

I could easily weather it, highlight it, and put some plexi lenses on it for you as well. If interested, PM me. :)

well got mine today, and i have to say i am not as unbelievably dissatisfied as a lot of you guys are with the paint scheme, i think some of you give the wolf paint app too much credit, all the wolf has is a dark charcoal paint job with silver lettering, thats it. ok the lenses on the celtic suck, but if anyone knows of any reflective material that i might be able to use for that, plz share cause thats the only thing i plan on altering, but overall, not too shabby. one thing that i noticed is that SS doesnt include a COA like they had with the wolf bio, that kinda sucked for me too be honest, but im glad i have one from the real mold seeing as this bio is so hard to replicate.

I think the wolf is a mix of black and charcoal which gives it a nice used look. The thing is though, the wolf is covered in detail, i.e cracks, scars, lettering, trophey parts and loads of dents etc. The AVP bio's don't have any of these details and are relatively simple texture wise, Therefor you'd think more detail would be put into the paint to account for this, nice weathering and what not, like the proto had. unfortunately when i recieved my scar it was just one shade of silver and covered in brush strokes etc, it looked terrible, seriously that thing looked as if it were painted in a school art class by a 6 year old.

Paint can be fixed though, even though it shouldn't have to be for the ammount we pay. And I have to say the celtic looks good wall mounted in your pics. The lenses are the main issue for me, it seem's sideshow were almost there with great sculpts for the scar and celtic and then completely ruined them by istalling cheap lenses in the scar, and unbelievably none at all in the celtic, it looks unfinished.

Compare the pics below, one is of a celtic by sideshow, a huge professional company aided by ADI!!! and the other is by a fan, Mr Steve Hird and the picture is his posted on the lair, i took it for comparison....

ignore the dreads but look how much better the addition of simple mirrored lenses make the mask look, much more deffinition. why couldn't sideshow do this? Picture belongs to Steve Hird.

Wow, the lenses look WAY better on the Hird version (as does the painting)... :google

i really like the design of the CP bio mask...It has great details on the mouth area...

doesn't it just, Steve did a great job which is my point, if a fan can do it so well..... why couldn't sideshow? Sideshows sculpt is obviously the more accurate but overall Steve's looks so much better, the mirrored lenses aren't stricly screen accurate but their a damn sight closer than paint!

Perhaps sideshow will wake up and offer some lenses such as the above for customers to simply stick in. Cut perfectly to size to save useless people like me trying to do it....

your right, that bio paint app and lenses are better, but the huge difference is that the fan made one is completely smooth, it doesnt have little dimples all over it like ALL of SS bios.........btw-i really dig those lenses, any way you could find out the material used??, i would like lenses like that on my SS one

I would imagine it is the same kind of material used in sunglasses and what not, looks good whatever it is. And yes, that was my point, SS obviously have the best sculpt going including the hammer effect you mentioned as they had access to the original bio's. So why would they release it without finishing it?! boggles the mind really as it could have been an incredible piece with a little more work.

I have emailed SS product suggestion department about developing such lenses for the scar and celtic, i would happily buy both if they did this but i doubt little old me will be listened too. Perhaps if more people voiced their complaints they might stop being so cheap with us? I for one hope things improve for this line as my Wolf is my grail piece. Id love an elder bio etc of the same quality, unfortunately i can't see it happening.

Steve Hird and Biohunter (two guys that at one point had the mold for that bio - Steve originally of course) simply used lenses from sunglasses purchased at a "dollar store" kind of place.

Maybe you can start a request list for lenses, Sideshow might listen if you email them a list signed by those of us who own either the Scar or Celtic bio & would like lenses for them. This might also boost their sales, it's a win/win situation for Sideshow. The list could include our names, the bio we own, & the bio helmet number for their verification. Just a thought.

but would they fit on this? i would imagine they could be cut down or somethin, but idk, those things crack really easy.........

... maybe they are =P but still, I can handle painted lenses... but warped.... thats another story

every pic i have seen so far looks warped. i dont think it the angle or sitting on stand wrong. looks terrible

I reckon if we bombard sideshow with complaint emails it will hurt them.. might stop this kinda crap happening again

Well i don't want to hurt them of course, they have done more for the collectable world than anyone els but it may make them realise we won't stand for such severe and ridiculous money making/saving decisions such as paper parts and what not. Why they couldn't have just finished this piece off properly is beyond me. Perhaps if they recieve enough complaints they will do something about it, or at the very least step up in future? so in that sence i agree with you, if we all keep quiet it will continue to happen, the more people that speak up the better.

Anyway, they have hurt themselves by skimping on two consecutive bio's, very silly indeed!!
