Now onto my next project....

After chatting with a couple of you the past few days, I think I have got my head around the Death Star Gunner helmet.

Its basically a SSC RFT helmet with the rear visor's position adjusted and the rear visor of a 2nd RFT helmet placed as the lower, front bill.

Nothing is glued, trimmed or sanded. Its just taped into place as a mock up to show you what it looks like.

before I hack it up and mod it, Im going to look at other alternatives. However, I really, really like the looks of this so far. By the way, this helmet is MUCH bigger than the Tomy version.

Awesome!!! It would make sense for them to have just moved extra pieces around when they were bashing helmets for the movie.
That really does look good as far as the scale and proportions.

Thanks guys, I think it looks about right. Im sure if someone had a spare helmet lying about they could cast it. Would just have to cast thre rear visor twice for each helmet.

I put the helmet together today and gave it a quick spray. I wanted to see what it looked like on a body. I included the Tomy helmet in the shot so you can get a feel for the size difference.

It will look better when I build the neck piece onto the helmet. I think the size looks pretty good though.
