I didn't order from BBTS but if you want I think WhoNA have the TARDIS gift set in right now.

Edit: Actually I think the bigger news is that that crappy new plastic will NEVER be used again! Hurray! Now I am glad that I am didn't get the Master figure when I could have.

This was something that I wasn't at all suprised to hear and it's good that Character Options are rereleasing the affected figures. It'll mean a few dozen more Spacesuit Doctors warming the pegs at my local TRU but if I can get better quality figures of Prof Yana & The Master I won't mind at all. I just hope they don't screw the paint up again.

My twin brother just got the flight control Tardis 3-pack today at a local comic book store here in the states. Here are some pics....

JTR did you know about the Iconic Replicas Doctor Who prop replicas? It's only Classic stuff at the moment (the Fourth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver has just gone up for pre-order) but there's always the possibility of Nu-Who stuff being added futher down the line.
Darth Trafford,
If you like I can keep a look out for a series 3 Novice Hame for you. I'm in the UK and occasionally still see the figure in stores.

Nah it's ok...it'll trickle over here some time soon I hope. Thanks for the offer though.

Here's a link to the first pic of the Voyage Of The Damned set,

https://www.doctorwhotoys.net/news.htm

Astrid and The Hosts look great but WTF are Character Options playing at including yet another rehashed series 3 Doctor as opposed to a new mold of the Doctor in a tuxedo which was what he wore for the majority of the episode? It would make sense making the tuxedo mold as it could be rereleased on series 2 carding as a "Rise Of the Cybermen"/"Age Of Steel" Doctor. I should also mention that there's a spoiler on that link in that pretty much confirms who the major baddie for series 4 will be as there'll be both 5" and 12" figures of the character so if you don't want to know just look at the pic of the VOTD set and don't read any of the other news.

Darth Trafford,
Ok no problem,I thought I'd mention it as I saw a couple this past week. If you have no luck finding one in the US just let me know.

3 more figures have been announced,
Series 4
Astrid Peth
Heavenly Host
(Single releases of these were pretty much a given)

Series 1
Rose Tyler (neutral pose)
(I didn't mind the pose of the first version but the likeness was crap. If this is identical to the proto I saw pics of ages ago it will be much better)

Rose's return to the show is good for collectors at there's so far been 2 new figures announced with a series 4 version almost certain to follow. A 12" version would be the icing on the cake.

So wait, my S1 Neutral Rose is CONFIRMED? OH HAPPY DAY!

:blissy :blissy

Now to hide this from the girlfriend who already thinks I'm in love with Billie ... hehe :lol

Well I looked over on the old Outpost Gallifrey forum, now Doctor Who forums... and they say Rose may not be coming out at all. All this stems from an article in the new Tomarts I believe that has a page that shows all the figures released so far and some that havent and WON'T (at least not anytime soon). There's also some figures that are blacked out, Rose happens to be one of those blacked out images so as of now no one is completely sure but Doctorwhotoys.net is reporting she IS coming so who knows at this point. All I know is that Rose would look great in the TARDIS playset my girlfriend got me for my birthday... now I just have to wait til March to get it. :monkey2

Still waiting for my TARDIS 3 pack... I will need a Rose to go with it, maybe this v.2 will be just the right thing.

I didn't realize the Iconic Replicas is Product Enterprise. Just went to their site and saw the 1:6 Tardis and Tardis console. Don't know why I'd never seen those before. Of course they're based on the 1963 versions of both, so they aren't must haves for me as Series 9 versions would be, but still cool. The prices are insane though. At current exchange rate the Tardie is about $700 and the console $650.

Yea Dave, exchange rates really suck at moment. I ordered the new Sarah Jane, Hame, Doctor etc from Forbidden Planet and will end up costing probably close to $100.

Have the new sets of figures come out yet in the UK?
I wonder how long they'll be on the shelves here in the states.
There's a local Newbury Comics and they're pretty good at getting figures instore on time.

The figures from Series 1 and 2 are in the UK. They won't be in the US until about April. Even then it will be a while before they show up probably. I know the Angels, Master, Yana etc figures are out but good luck finding them. Also they are going to be redone in the standard plastic so there's a variation if you're into that sorta thing.

Hopefully the figure will come out as IMO it's one of the most needed updates in the line.
With Billie Piper returning to the TV show I'm sure she'll have had to sign some agreement about merchandise so I guess we'll just have to keep our fingers crossed. According to doctorwhotoys.net Doctors number 7 & 8 have now been added to the Classics lineup and both along with Doctor's 4,5 & 6 are expected to be revealed soon (Toy Fair?).
For whatever reason no Classic companions are planned though which seems a bit crap as figures of the likes of Sarah Jane,Leela & Tegan would surely sell well to the older collectors who will likely be the biggest buyers of the Classic figures.
Anyone who hasn't already bought the Doctor in orange Spacesuit on the 4 or 5 previous occasions it's been released in the last year will get yet another chance as it's now being released with the 2 urns from the Beast's pit.
Another couple of older figures that are getting a rerelease with new accessories are the Slitheen with a soft plastic skin suit and a Cyberman with a Preacher gun.
For all the great stuff Character Options are doing they are taking the piss with the amount of rehashes and I know I don't have to buy them all but I just think that it sucks that characters like Pete & Jackie Tyler haven't yet been made or a Doctor in tuxedo won't be in the VOTD set and instead we're getting more pointless rehashes of figures that in some cases are already pegwarmers.

There seems to be no set ideas for the figures, example they have the scarecrow warriors but no one else from that episode, perhaps the Family Of Blood? They made the weeping angels...how about a Sally Sparrow figure?
They made the Doctor in the red space suit, how about the possesed crew men wearing the helmets and gloves "Burn with us". How about a new Martha figure wearing a black jacket and her hair down?
We should start a Doctor Who 5 inch figure wish list thread or we could just start it here.
I'll start...
Rose's Parents perhaps a 2 pack?
Jake to go along with Mickey
Donna Noble (Run away Bride)
Hover Car play set(Branigans wife w/kitten litter)
Lazarus/Lazarus monster
Tish Jones
A Satan Pit crew(perhaps in 2packs?)
Sally Sparrow
Larry Nightingale
Doctor with wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey detector/ bow
Martha with arrows

2 new figures of Martha are on the way, a series 3 version in the attire she wore in "Last Of The Time Lords" and a series 4 version. I also remember seeing confirmation of a "Runaway Bride" version of Donna Noble on doctorwhotoys.net a while ago. As for my wish list,

Series 1
Jackie Tyler
Mickey Smith
Henry Van Statten
Deluxe Dalek Emperor

Series 2
Ida Scott
Zachary Cross Flane
Security Officer Jefferson
Pete Tyler from "Rise Of The Cybermen/Age Of Steel"
10th Doctor in tuxedo & Rose Tyler in maid's outfit
John Lumic
Mr Finch
Victor Kennedy & The Abzorbaloff
Preachers 3-pack (Ricky,Jake & Mrs Moore)
10th Doctor & Rose Tyler in 1950's attire with scooter

Series 3
I'm not too bothered about many other figs from this series as most of the best ones have already been released or are about to be.

Classic
1st Doctor (William Hartnell)
2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughton)
3rd Doctor (Jon Pertwee)
Sarah Jane Smith
The Brigadier
Leela
Tegan
Romana (both incarnations)
4th Doctor (Tom Baker) in his Sherlock Holmes outfit from "The Talons Of Weng Chiang"
Harry Sullivan
Davros
The Master (Roger Delgado)
The Master (Anthony Ainley)
1970's Tardis console room playset
