Great news Menmoch:D

Not only is this good news for stateside fans who've had trouble getting the figures at retail but if Character Options line spreads abroad it means sales will likely increase and more figures will be made for both US and UK customers.

Win-win all around:cool:

From what I hear this is just a test program but I hope TRU expands it and keeps it going. The pegs are full of Regen two packs but at $20 it's not all that surprising. Before I head back to school I'll be getting my Judoon Trooper and Captain though.

What's the news on the 12" line? I had heard that it was being canceled due to lack of interest.

Lack of interest? I guess since they're so hard to get in the US I assumed they were popular in the UK. I'd hate to see them stop - there are some great figures in the line.

It would be a real shame if CO stopped making 12" Who figures. No lie, these are the best "mass produced toy store type" 12" figures I've seen!

There are whispers of an Astrid doll but I haven't heard of anything beyond that. I think it's more of a shame there is no Rose Tyler or Doctor 9 out there.

Coming Soon:

Ghost Hunter Doctor
School Reunion Sarah Jane and K9
Sycorax Warrior
The Editor
Novice Hame Sister of Plentitude
Regeneration 10th Doctor (possibly new articulation)
Moxx of Balhoon rerelease

My twin brother collects these. He got into the new seasons of Doctor Who when the Sc-Fi channel started to air them.I got into the show as well and we both collect them now. He has a lot of the single figures and a lot of the 2 or 3 pack of figures. The one figure he can't seem to find is the cat-nurse Novice Hame or Hamme. We've looked every where for it. I didn't know that TRU is carrying the figures though. The one near us isn't at least, is it a limited amount of stores doing it or will all?Or is it just the TRU's in England and europe?Do you think they'll expand the line to cover Torchwood? I'd like to see a better Captain Jack, his long trench coat is awesome!
Oh yeah for those fans of Torchwood here's a little reminder for you...

The Gridlock version of Hame is apparently damn near impossible to find. The US TRUs are running the Doctor Who merchandise as a test in select markets at moment and depending upon the sales may expand their selection of merchandise and what stores get them. Right now the US stores only have what I mentioned in my previous posts. There is a S3 Capt Jack figure on the horizon but no one knows exactly where and Torchwood figures remain to be seen, but stand a better chance now they are doing a "family friendly"/possible BBC America cut of Torchwood for this season.

She is in the Series Three 10 figure box, which is readily available, but if you're looking for a carded version, you're going to be looking for a long time. I wouldn't pay too much for her, she may get thrown into a future wave.

As for Torchwood, I don't see Character Options doing it, so maybe a company like Sideshow could make a deal to produce those characters. The only one I'm interested in, though, is Captain Jack.

...and maybe Ianto, then he and Jack could, well, nevermind :monkey1 :lol

They could use a stopwatch...LOL

These haven't been released just yet, or if they have I haven't seen them in any stores in the UK. I'm all for Character Options doing a prop replica line but the price point is quite low so I'm wondering how good the quality will actually be.

I'd love a high end Doctor Who prop replica line (a la Master Replicas SW line) I'd buy the Sonic Screwdriver, Laser Screwdriver and Fob Watch in a heart beat and wouldn't mind paying a little more than the going rate providing the quality was there.

JTR did you know about the Iconic Replicas Doctor Who prop replicas? It's only Classic stuff at the moment (the Fourth Doctor's Sonic Screwdriver has just gone up for pre-order) but there's always the possibility of Nu-Who stuff being added futher down the line.
Darth Trafford,
If you like I can keep a look out for a series 3 Novice Hame for you. I'm in the UK and occasionally still see the figure in stores.

Yeah I knew Iconic Replicas were doing Classic Who, but really I'm only interested in collecting stuff from the new series.

Nice collection you've got going on there Dark Knight:D

I just a got a load of info on new stuff from doctorwhotoys.net. Here's the best bits,

Nu-Who
1.The Voyage Of The Damned set is out in March and will consist of,
Astrid Peth
Heavenly Host x2
accessories x2
(No Doctor in tuxedo. WTF?)

2. A series 3 "Valiant" set is also out in March. No details on what the other figures are but Lucy Saxon is confrmed.

3.The following series 4 items are set to be released later in the year,
Sontaran gift set
12" Sontaran
Murder Mystery set

Classic
1.Wave 1 has been delayed until May

2.A series 12 (1974-75) box set
(No other details but given that this was Tom Baker's first year as the Doctor it should be awesome. There's a strong possibility that Davros could be included as he debuted in the 1975 story "Genesis Of The Daleks")

3.Evolution Of The Cybermen box set
(Likely to be a 4-pack with Cybermen from the 60's,70's,80's and Nu-Who)

4.10th Planet Exclusive Cyberman
5.Special Weapons Dalek

Torchwood
The first wave of Torchwood figures will be Captain Jack,Gwen, the Cyberwoman and a Weevil. These will not be made by Character Options and are instead coming from a company called getretro/scificollector. No word on the scale but I would hope they're the same as the Doctor Who/SJA figures. The sculpts are set to be revealed at Toyfair and a second wave is planned for later in the year.

I already posted this question in a different thread, but I should have done it here:

Has anyone who ordered the Flight Control TARDIS 3-pack from BBTS actually received it yet or know when they expect to? I haven't heard one thing since I ordered, and that was a while ago.

I didn't order from BBTS but if you want I think WhoNA have the TARDIS gift set in right now.

Edit: Actually I think the bigger news is that that crappy new plastic will NEVER be used again! Hurray! Now I am glad that I am didn't get the Master figure when I could have.
