The last several watchers went for well over 500.00 with one up in the 800.00 range. I'm sure this will go up more in abit but it may be a great deal for someone...

Looks like he has a RWOS also that is at 433.00...also ends in 2 hrs..

It won't be as great of a deal now that it's been posted here...

Well, maybe...But if it doesn't go up much more it will still be a great deal...I know there are some here who are wanting one, this would be a good chance to grab it...

Yeah, I'm sure the people watching that auction could wring his neck right now. I hate when I'm stalking an auction and someone posts "HEY look over here a cheap item!" The snipers are bad enough. Dude's probably friends with the seller.

Who are you talking about?

If you are talking about me I don't even know the seller. I knew some people here were interested in getting one and just thought I'd give them a heads up, no need to get upset about it...:monkey3

That's why I asked FeatheredSerpent.

I don't think that was ANYONE'S intention to draw attention to a piece in hopes to "jack up" the price. Like FeatheredSerpent says, it was merely a "head ups" because of how difficult this piece is to obtain especially at this price, from one fellow member to another.

-And I highly doubt FeatheredSerpent knows the seller. And if they do, I didn't sense ANY favoritism or advertising on their behalf.

Thanks man!!...I don't know the seller at all...just saw the auction and thought I'd give a heads up, like I said. I scored this item recently, also for a great deal, and thought I'd let others know about this one...Hopefully one of you guys will get it and it won't go any higher...Sorry if I upset anyone as that was not my intention..

i don't think it makes that much difference myself. i mean how many people are there that are looking for one of these?? i'm sure with ebays search engine, that everyone uses if they are looking for a particular item, posting on this board isn't going to make much difference. imo

First, it only takes one person to outbid you.

Second, my apologies if my post sounded angry -- it wasn't meant to -- I just get aggravated when people "announce" things like this from past experience.

I think it's better that if you know someone specific, a friend, then alert them via PM to the auction... but just blasting a post to announce "a good deal on ebay" is a good way to make a good deal go away.

Yeah, it's not a very popular move to post a live auction except for a few exceptions:

- cool/wow factor of unique item
- ridiculously HIGH price
- cheap BIN

Otherwise, people get upset because they were probably watching and more advertising can only hurt the item ending at a bargain. Live and learn. :D

yeah, I was watching this item and I am only missing 3 out of 180 Weta pieces. (Cave Troll statue, Moria Orc Archer statue and this one)

I thought I'd actually get to call this one mine!!

I bid a max of $306.66 when the current bid was $222, the refreshed window actually stated I was winning at $263 or so. I was ecstatic and refreshed once more and then... the winning bid was $307!! And we both submitted our bids at the exact same second!

So I either missed winning this by 35 cents or by 1 second!!

MANNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!11 :emperor:monkey4:banghead:banghead

No, you missed out by 34 cents. Mine was the $307 bid and that was my max.:naughty I was going to place a high bid of $306, but changed it to $307 at the very last second.
