Yeah, let me get organized and I'll post a "round up" tomorrow, hopefully with some new photos if all goes well.

I'll keep track of who wants Kuato's paint work and list you in the order you ask for it. Like I posted, first 10 get his generous discount. After that his full price kicks in.

With the rubber sleeve covers, who should we be sending them to get them colour matched?

I think boots are next, but I need to work out what it will take. I'll try to have everything accounted for in the "Round up" post tomorrow.

Interesting how a project can take on a life of it's own, isn't it?

We'll see about getting the sleeves to Kuato since he will need to match skin tone.

Oh, and by the act of asking how to get on the paint list you are on the paint list!

He's not quite that scary......

I'll put some photos of him up in my "Chris Howes' Sculptural Creations" thread. But, man, does he need a lot of work. The reason I probably avoided putting any together is that I didn't want to see the crappy fit and finish of the production copies. I need to fill in the gaps with some miliput or some other putty. Need to fill in the mouth since it's just open into the interior of the model. Like I have time.....

Hot Toys hands have a shorter post that also looks like it's a little thicker than those. But I bet a little surgery to shorten them and a bit of putty to add a little "grab" to keep the posts in the wrist holes would likely work.

I've been thinking things over, and I want to adjust a few things..... In a good way!

I will keep the items available ala carte for those who want just a piece or two for their custom efforts, but I want also to create a "full set" at a reduced cost so that if one wants the whole kit it won't break the bank. Combined with Lord Vicious' privately commissioned shoulder piece and elvis1976's leather work this will give everyone a lot of options and amazing custom possibilities that just aren't available anywhere else at any price. Damn I'm getting excited!!

Of course, if you've paid for some things already and want the whole package you will be able to credit your initial purchase towards the whole.

i was hoping you'd say that about the full set. i'd definitely be interested in doing that. coz i'll probably end up wanting EVERYTHING + a few extras to go with seb's awesome armour. so has he agreed to do a leather kilt for your armour? that would be awesome. man i love this project more than anything else right now!

Hey Chris... thought you might like to see how my little project is coming together.
Started on the leather armour and waist belt... I used faux leather as it is easier for a beginner like me to work with and cheaper if it all goes tits up! Also it seems a good weight for this scale.
Just need to add the detail like clasps and the round metal bits on the skirt.
The boots were Hot Toys Ivan Drago boxing boots, with a little bit added to the top edge to make a collar, and my son will be doing the weathering on them in the next few days.

Looking really nice!. So, what was the inspiration? Were you and your son just having fun or is there an educational component? This would make an excellent school project for an ancient history class. The quality should freak everybody out, if so.

In fact, one of my first sculptural projects was sculpting, molding, and casting a replica Egyptian dagger! This kind of thing can keep a lad interested in his studies.

I appreciate your eagerness....... but let me just get the first details worked out! You bring up some interesting questions.....

I'm going to include a section for Lord Vicious and Seb, but I need to talk to them about how they want to handle things first. Their participation is up to them, though I will be glad to offer a framework if they like to be able to offer things side by side. I will be sending off emails forthwith!
