that is awesome coz I'm totally up for both types of shoulder amour, im not a good painter but we will deal with that later. I wont be able to build 2 maximus figures, but a variety of accessories will definitely make this a worth while figure.
I'm already looking to get some leather like material so i can do the leathery armor he wore...what did you use Lord Vicious, and also did you order just a 'regular size' for the latex covers

which i think is a good stern look, the neck looks a bit plain, but the head will serve its job well.

A helmet, eh? I've been thinking about the helmet...... but first things first!!
I've arranged for the slave's tunic he wears underneath the armor if we can get a few folks together who want it.
The tunic will be coming from a fellow I'm doing some work with, Michael Chong.
Here is an example of a Joker Nurse uniform (version one proto, new version with better fabric is under way) that we are working on..... hint, hint. Hmmmm.... needs a new better head with the wig etc., doesn't he?

BTW, anyone have a good source for white tennis shoes? Might be needing some. I'll have to make the remote control myself!
Anyway, you can see the quality, so the tunic should be very cool. He's sourcing some appropriate fabric right now.
If anyone is interested, please let me know so we have an idea of how many to make. We'll try to keep the cost quite reasonable, too. I have to do a little research on cost. I'm less familiar with clothing than sculpts, obviously.

I used some faux leather I had lying around from an old handbag my girlfriend didn't need anymore. But there's already a new leather armor maximus in the works which will use real leather
.And the latex arm sleeves I used came from an old Dragon Hong Kong Police figure, I forgot the name...
I also ordered that exact same Maximus head, let's hope it's any good.
Chris, I'm definitely up for a Maximus tunic! You can sign me right up. I even might need three for all the Maximus versions I'm planning
As for the tennis shoes; have you tried Ebay, mate? You can find some there:

We'll have to wait a little bit on Nurse Joker..... New uniform will take a while as will a new head, other details to work out... but there will be a new thread when the time comes. Hopefully before Christmas. Hmmmmm..... creepy stocking stuffers!

I'm going to see about getting at least 10 tunics made. Got to figure out a reasonable price...

I don't wanna be a pain, and it might not matter at all, but is there a real difference between HT bodies. The only thing i can tell is the chest and colour, but i haven't had much experience with figures yet
I'm using the Hot Toys TrueType figure that looks exactly like the first photo to develop the armor. Hopefully there is enough wiggle room for the armor to fit others, though.
BTW, you're not being a pain. All questions are welcome!
Kool thanx Chris, because i really didn't know if the body armour would sit differently on a different chest. I know the body color wouldn't matter because it would be covered by a Tunic and the Limbs by the silicon sleeves. All we need to make sure is that the sleeve colour is the same tone used on the face, which could be tricky!

btw, i think my maximus head just shipped (that ebay one). anyone else get a paypal tracking notice. i hope it doesn't suck. i guess if it does, at least we have chris' roaring head to look forward to.

By the way, were you able to win that Ebay auction for the Gladiator helmet?
I think it's a recast and repaint of the Hot Toys head; not entirely sure though...

it does look like a recast but not sure myself either. i just hope that if it is it's not poorly cast or painted badly. i looked for the original figure but it was too expensive to import. and we have terrible 1/6 points of purchase here in the UK.
vicious - nah, i didn't win. i went up to about $35. i thought if i won it i might be able to send it to chris so he could get some ideas from it (not that he needs any though). i think in the end it went for $50 something dollars! which is a lot for a helmet. there's a BIN one at $70 from the same seller. i think i'll wait for an alternative (wink wink nudge nudge).
