Yes, that might be assumed in normal circumstances, but Howes gave us a guarantee. You must have missed this post in the Hugh Laurie head thread, the whole reason I was willing to pay before seeing his work. (It's post #56, if you would like to verify.)



I would never go so far as to say, "what a piece of crap", because I am a decent person with a sense of tact, but I was not satisfied with the sculpt, yet I'm still being held to my commitment against my will. It will be the last time I offer money for anything sight unseen. He is doing damage to the trust of everyone that takes on customs commissions. He may "actually listen", but he doesn't appear to respond or care.

You really should be issued a refund Drizzle. I'm crossing my fingers you get one.

It's was estimated that he took over $11,000 in money from people and no one has received anything from him.

He should have used some of that money for supplies and shipping......

The facts are he took a lot of money from a lot of people months and months ago with no product to show for it......

I'm not going to argue with you guys, if you want to keep coming back again and again to say the same things over and over, fine.
I haver zero interest in this thread other than to see if Chris shows up with some update, and it is kinda frustrating to come back and only find the same guys saying the same things over and over.
Other than that, I was only pointing out what could be a possibility since no one really knows what's up.

I'm just sick of people defending the guy even when it's blatant that he's not doing anything to fix the situation. You say we say the same things over and over... most of guys here are just reporting that they haven't gotten anything and in our frustration we turn to ebay to see that he's still listing new items... hmmm maybe we should just keep quiet in a little bubble and hope that he'll make some cash from ebay and send us our overdue items in the lifetime.

estimated $11,000 ? Wow ... someone said he is waiting for 3 years now to get the things he paid for. You guys must have a lot of patience. Respect ! I am not a long time Member of this Board, but I allready read 3 threads regarding Commissions (from 3 different Artists) taking a long time to complete. This gets me worried and I will never ever spend my hard earned money and wait 1 - 3 years to recieve something (if at all). No matter how awesome the HS or clothes may be. This is too much stress ...

sorry not a laughing matter, let's get serious i'm in for quite a bit of stuff too from chris. i'm not defending him, but if i was chris and i came back and saw this, i really wouldn't feel like finishing anything. so maybe endless pages of insults and anger isn't achieving anything except making the situation worse.

we need to think about doing something more proactive. we know there's an issue now, so no use reciting it to death in this thread. anyone think of any other avenues we might have to reach chris?

he's been reached last week. first he just replied to a selected few's emails and then he came here and made a few broken promises and smug replies.

I don't recall anywhere stating it would be 3 years, I remember someone saying he took on 3 years of work in a short period...I think that is where the 3 years is coming in....

Although nothing would surprise me about this anymore....

The longest I have read anyone has been waiting was around a year and that was you. I do agree he needs to address refunds and projects here. Though this constant daily bashing isn't doing anything to help the process. In my opinion it is building discontent against all customizers.

Lemme just say this...The Freaks here are a very forgiving, very understanding group. They understand custom works take time, they understand people have personal lives, they understand setbacks.

All Chris needed to do was give updates and share info with his customers, even when he didn't post updates, all he had to do was come here & post a fair response and he wouldn't be in this situation.

I'm sure the complaints will keep coming until he makes some serious efforts to make things right. I can't sit here and blame people for being angry, it's thier money in question...besides, what else could we possibly talk about in this thread? the new projects? new pics? What do we have to offer feedback on? Show me some new sculpting & I'll be happy to critique it!

I think that makes a lot of sense. I understand the frustration here, but if we crucify him, it just makes it less likely that he'll come back. I haven't given up hope yet.
