Hey Guys!

This would have been up earlier tonight..... but I fell asleep on the couch! Just woke up and shot these, hope they look OK.

Here he is. I shortened his hairstyle a bit, refined his face, wrinkles, beard.

I'm not trying to rain on anyones parade or cause any problems here but are people receiving their items from Chris Howes?
I paid him a year ago for 2 items and still have yet to receive them. I have resorted to posting this in a public forum since he will not answer emails nor give me a status on the items.
I have not pestered him and have only sent emails about once a month asking for status. Twice he has told me that packages were in the mail with nothing arriving only to have him tell that he has not had a chance to send them yet.
I have told him that at this point I would rather just have a refund of the $325 I paid him with no reply....

Again I am not trying to start anything or cause problems but waiting a year after paying is pretty patient on my part......

a year is a very long time to wait and i feel for you buddy. but please also try to be aware that this is not a full time job for chris - he does this in any spare time he has. from what i understand he has some massive burdens on his time right now from the work that actually earns him a living.

i see you're new here, so i don't know exactly how your commission with chris came about. but with us, he has given us a whole load of projects we never dreamed we'd get. and he's doing it for very cheap - much less than what his time is worth, and what other custom artists are no doubt charging. that's why many of us here, who have paid a long time ago, aren't frantic yet. he has also warned us that these projects WILL take time, and everyone who signs up should be aware of that.

i think you have been very patient, but i would ask on his behalf that you be patient just a while longer - i think he really is going through a busy patch. it's not easy but please try. from what i know, he is a stand up guy and very dedicated to us. but we have to give him time i think.

as you're new here, you may not know, but pressure on customisers on this board has caused some serious damage from stress. so much so that some of them have even had to leave the hobby for good. we all lose out if that happens. i totally understand where you're coming from, but try to hold on a while longer.

325$ for 2 items?! Must be a great custom. Be sure to share some pics when (and not if ) it has arrived.

As for your wait: While I can understand your anger I would suggest to be patient. Chris is trustful. You will definitly get something that makes you forget all the long wait. Look forward to whatever you ordered.

I also emailed him requesting an update on the Summer Glau sculpt about a week ago with no reply. It's annoying because two of the four versions are done, but it's been about 2 months with no update on the last two versions.

I really hate to say it, but I honestly think Chris bit off way more than he could chew when he started taking commissions right and left.
