It is theoretically possible that your mails were caught by a spam filter, but I can see how you would be upset. He just seems way too laid back about this whole thing.

I got an envelope in the mail today. It was kind of thick, and had no return address. Inside was a House head and cane set by Chris Howes. There are some points I want to make, and then I am going to hold my breath again until the deadline passes for Maximus armor updates.

Chris Howes does great work. The head casting is pure, no bubbles and the sculpt is just what I wanted. The cane is good, and came already painted which was a pleasant surprise. There is no questioning the quality of the product. It's above board all the way.

I am sad that the communication is still an issue. There are obviously people on this board that deserve a refund, and still don't have one. There are people on this board who are waiting for product that should have shipped months ago. Everyone who sent Chris money deserves a working email address and a reasonable response time to questions.

The frustration I felt, and still feel, towards the situation is not permanent or fixed in any way. Chris could make it all disappear in an instant, if I felt he was open and honest about the status of the projects and wanted to be in communication with his customers. It's so easy, and the fact that he is not doing it makes me angry and sad because his work is great.

I hope in the coming days that everyone gets what they paid for. I think at the point Chris delivers the last of the outstanding orders I have with him (Maximus) I will apologize to him for being so frustrated that I took it public. I wish I could continue to be his customer, but for the reasons mentioned above I can't.

No return address huh? Someone's afraid. When you do good things in life, there's nothing to fear.

(Yes, I have a pending order with him too.)

Yeah, pay no attention to the return address quip. That was just me being dramatic. :lol

(Though, I did think the same thing at first.)

It shouldn't have even been mentioned. Sure some have had concerns about how Chris does his business, but everyone is entitled to their privacy.

You are right.

Say, let me borrow $180 of your money. I promise I will pay it back, but I can't give you my phone number or address. You also can't send me PM's or emails. After a few months, I will stop telling you when you can expect repayment. You just have to trust that I am out there somewhere ready to pay you back. Don't question it, just paypal me the money, and then give me my privacy.

Then you can defend me to everyone when they start telling you that you should be concerned I might rip you off. :)

I don't think anyone knows, Chris hasn't really communicated that. Only one has been delivered so far. We'll see if more people a little farther out get any today.

Well Chris emailed me back, quicker than I thought, and he is trying to figure out what happened to my order. Im just glad he finally responded.

He's talking about all the myriad posters who have no stake in this and yet are trying to fan the flames on the witchhunt.

I would appreciate it if those who do not have paid orders in with Chris, not feed the fires.

We now have an answer to the ebay question - the winners there will take a place in the que. I'm not trying to defend his actions and lack of communication, but I don't want to see this blown out of proportion either.
Dave, I couldn't agree less. There are alot of folks who were hoping that some of these heads would be exactly what we were looking for. The Gormans head was one of the early ones I heard about and really peaked my interest as it doesn't appear HT will be giving us one. Other threads brought around interest in heads also yet to be made in 1:6. I've said it in other posts and it bears repeating: He stands to lose almost twice as much from the folks "waiting to order". And whether we have all sent him money yet (which then you'd just have more folks that are out the money already) we all have a stake in

I buy alot of stuff off ebay, I reckon only about 10% has return addresses...........

I've bought a lot as well. From overseas as well as in the US. I can't remember any that didn't have a return address.

I just went to the post office last week to mail a letter and had forgotten to put a return address on it and they would not accept it without one...They told me that it is a postal regulation that all shipments have return address's on them....Do not know if that is fact or not but just passing on what I was told by a postal employee.....

After that anthrax scare a while back they switched to requiring return addresses (which doesn't make that much sense, since they don't verify them in any way, but whatever).

which email did you get ahold of him with? i want to ask about my order.

Its the one on his website.

[email protected]

BTW I dont know if he already said this or not but Chris said in my email he is working on the heads and will have an update ready really soon.

Just emailed me back again and im finally getting my Joker head like I payed for. He was pretty nice about it and everything

That's good, at least he's replying to somebody. :) Apparently those of us that want refunds are just out the money, probably because he has no intention of refunding anything. It's kind of a shame, because if/once this all panned out, I would not have been adverse to buying from him again, this particular sculpt just didn't do it for me. :(

Just devils advocate... are you using the generic title in the emails as he suggested. Just typing "hello" or something very simple so it makes it through the filters?

I emailed Chris but didn't just use hello or hi as the title. Didn't know it would matter.
