Thx Chris... :lol:rotfl The Hoff is simply amazing...

Thinking about it don't we need a 1/6 Hoff???:D

I was watching some old DVDs today... I watched for over 4 hours a few episodes of ALF... I really love this little guy. One of the best sclapstics I have ever seen. Would love to get a 1/6 figure of him one day but I really do not know how to do the body... He is around 110 cm tall so he should be around 18,3 cm tall in 1/6 scale which is around 7,5 inch... Where can I get such a body??? And then I have to add the hair all over his body...:sick

Is the world ready for a 1/6 Hasselhoff?

I think Alf would have to be a total sculpt, don't you? Body shape is none human. Actually might be a project for one of the soft doll artists so you could build it with hair from the beginning.

20 years after Knight Rider might be a bit too early, you could be right... :lol:rotfl:lol
BTW: started to print out the Hoff tonight. Expect pics of the fig tomorrow evening :joy

Agreed. A total sculpt would propably be the best as the hair should match from top to bottom and the legs are quite short for a common human body. He has more the look of a midget (hope this isnt a bad word in your language, is so, SORRY to all the small guys out there!) as he was originally played by one in the first season. What is a "soft doll artist"?

WOW:horror

Those rats and monkeys are amazing but quite expensive aswell. Do you know her? Is she trustfull? Looks really like the right way to do a proper ALF... But than I would need a Willy too... :lol

I love Alf dearly but will have a reeeeally hard time looking at Willy the same way again after his press a few years ago. :lol

No, don't know her, just admire her work. I'm always looking around for talented folks to learn from and I came across her a couple years ago and happened to have the page bookmarked.

Clearly her technique would yield one heck of an Alf though a bit pricey.

I used to work for a puppet troupe in college, Angela Beasley's Puppet People, and we made foam and fabric puppets and costumes. Really fun work, (especially when I got to present a Super Hero mascot costume, Clean Dean,to the Savannah, GA Mayor and city council. Amazing how easy it is to make uptight government types uncomfortable by capering around as a big headed overly muscled superhero. :D Oh the looks on their faces.... they had no idea how to react. I did so enjoy tweaking the noses of our masters!) and I was toying with the idea of making some soft figures again. It's been an awful long time, but she has some instructional material I may spring for if I ever have time to play with..... which doesn't look likely for the foreseeable future.

To make Alf you could maybe sculpt the face; snout, eyes ears... and then make a small fur body suit for a Mego body. I think it could be done, but it would be a lot of work.

I'd personally love to see Alf in 1/6 as he was one of my favorite shows as a kid :rock

The big problem is matching the sculpted fur to the soft fur.....

Anyone good at applying fur to resin?

They look quite good actually.

A pose like this would make a cool sculpture aswell:

I've been thinking about a savage Edgar Rice Borroughs style or maybe Frank Frazetta style gorilla carrying off the scantily clad woman resin kit. Sort of a pulp magazine cover come to life. You know, snarling, drooling, look of hunger in his eyes.... Terribly politically incorrect but fun as hell! :naughty
