I know you are trying to firm up wave two and I would REALLY like to get these two guys in on it. River is gonna be lonely standing up on the shelf all by herself.

I'm sorry I didn't get back to you quickly..... got some huge jobs going on that I didn't expect and can't talk about, yet!

Sure, makes sense, we can do that thread, but give me a week or 2 more before starting it in earnest. I really want to wrap some stuff up first.

Chris I'm definitely interested in a Firefly/Serenity crew set of custom heads! Especially Capt. Mal Reynolds, Jayne, Callie and the rest. It was such a GREAT show and movie. The show didn't get a fair chance. Cut off after one short season. I loved it! Keep us posted....Thanks again!

You know, I was thinking about a Mr. T to go along with a Sly Stallone/Rocky head I'm working on....

yeah a new mr t sculpt would be great, but i gota say we should def try an ateam thread?? if ud be willing and wanted to do scupltso f the other guys?? id love a set of them. much like the gbusters head, do 1 of each, and maybe a new mr t like u suggested?

id be down for a couple of each for sure! and an altrnative murdock head would be cool..1 with a sculpted baseball hat, and another with no cap so u can can add ur own hat, or a flying visor like he wore sumtimes in the show ahah.

Gotta type fast.... power outages here due to heavy snow and ice... can hear trees falling in the woods outside my house!! The white death has come to claim us.

Starting with young Rocky Sly first, I think. Will age him for later films as well, so there should be one you could mod for Dredd. Trying to remember his hair for that? Will look later when power stabilizes.

Pretty, isn't it. Sorry to piss off Al Gore, but the truth is this is darn inconvenient. There's 1/2" of ice (that's the bad part, everything covered in ice) sandwiched between layers of snow causing tree limbs to break and take out power lines. I can hear them crashing in the forest. Just thought I'd share because the universe has a sense of humor.... today there are "Global Warming" talks in D.C. and this has been one of the coldest winters in years and there is this magnificent storm across a huge swath of the eastern US. They are starting to say"climate change" to hedge their bets.... Timing is perfect, I love this stuff, Nature's practical joke, Oh the hubris of man.... might get up to 6" more they are saying.

Gotta convince the dog to go out in this... See the poor birds disappearing into my foot prints?

Here in Lexington we got less snow but more ice, looks amazing until power lines start snapping due to the weight. Today the snow started here, looks more like snow chunks falling than snow flakes.

I've had the opportunity to be lead designer and sculptor on projects for properties such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of theRings, Austin Powers, Jurassic Park, Independance Day, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Godzilla, the WWF , NASCAR, the NBA, the NFL, MLB, and so many others I can't keep track!

Dont tell me you had sth to do with the WWF Hasbro line...

I'm right there with you too teabelly83! I'm sure Chris will take note of our interest and start an A-Team head sculpt interest thread after he's done with his current projects.

excellent jedimike.....like isaid i mentioned it to chris alittle while ago and in a mssg i got bck he said he would be happy to do the a team, but give it alittle while till the heads hes working on at the mo are jst bout done, then do a thread to see if we can get some interest. ive actually come across some cool outfits on ebay that ive seen and thought "i could use that for the ateam" ahah...i also mentioned bout murdock, either do him with a sculpted baseball cap which may look better, or without a hat and get a real fabric one.

That would be cool, but let's hold off just a little bit while I clear out a few commission. Give it 2 or 3 weeks perhaps.

Funny thing is, I was originally hired by Toy Biz to sculpt all of the LOTR heads. At the last minute, after work had begun, some high up suit decided to unceremoniously dump me in favor another studio that was using the laser scanning gimmick. They thought it was a nice marketing move.

I'm biased, but I thought the result sucked and, frankly, that was the beginning of the end for Toy Biz as we knew it. They squandered that license.

So, I'd be happy to finally do a few more LOTR heads! Just remind me in a few weeks...

Hi Chris, looks like you've been staying busy. Wanted to inquire about the Merry and Pippen head sculpts. I just got my extra Frodo and Sam bodies in and was hoping you had time to consider M&P in your next wave of sculpts. There's a custom thread in the LOTR section, so I know there are a few interested parties.

Also, if you decide to sculpt these and you're interested, I can send over my extra Sam and Frodo if it would help with reference/research/inspiration. These seem to be done a little differently from the rest of SSC's stuff, mainly in that the hair is independent of the head.

Hey guys.

Winter sucks. No power for 3 days. I live literally in the woods with a 500' driveway. Real nice and private, but this last year has been crazy with weather related power outage. We got hit by freak winds from the hurricane last September, had several giant oaks come down and take out lines and break 2 utility poles. The summer before we lost 1 utility pole. Now the ice storm took out powerlines an one of our new poles was leaning precariously. What the hell!?! It got awfully cold here even with the fireplace. Apparently I have offended the god of power lines or something.

To top it off I've got a nasty cold. The crawl on the floor to get anywhere kind. Not been a fun few days. I'm too tired right now, but I'll try to address questions tomorrow. Just wanted to let you know I'm alive.... barely!

I'm going to go sit in front of the space heater now that we have power again....
