Ok guys, I feel the need to speak in defense of the crew here since I guess I am the only one posting here that actually makes a living as a film and TV crew (I am in the camera and lighting department) full time doing ACTUAL TV dramas or movies.

Just to clarify - there are a few film/tv professionals here. Try not to be so condescending. mm,kay?

That's what perplexes me about people being quick to judge him for this rant, ya it's not a nice thing he did, but I've seen, and myself been guilty of, similar outbursts on this site. It's just human nature sometimes, you back the dog into a corner enough it eventually attack you. Something had Bale worked up, this guy apparently had already made this mistake and I'm sure Bale voiced it the first time, and the second time just unleashed his restraint. Doesn't mean it's ok to go around doing it, but I think we've all been there at some point in our lives. If there were stories of this going on all the time on sets with him, it'd be one thing, but a one time incident taken out of context is pretty thin evidence against his character.

Actually, I was listening to Lex and Terry this morning when they were discussing this topic. During the conversation they all got in a HUGE argument about the subject. Funny enough now we are all getting pissy at each other while discussing the subject.

I think this is just one of those things that people can't discuss without getting personal.

My fave one is "His rant was too long, he kept going on and on"....as if cursing the guy out for 1 minute and 45 seconds is OK, but another 20 seconds and it's out of line.

what's lame is you can't really debate anything without it getting edited. Life isn't always nice, grown ups usually know how to deal with being called a name or 2. Bet ya that DP is still willing to go out and do his job despite everything that was said. Seeing as how that happened quite a while ago, i'd bet that it's all water under the bridge between them. Or maybe not, either way i'm sure the guy went on with his life as is Bale

I think that we need to know more info. If this was like the 20th or 30th+ take of an emotionally intense scene and it kept getting screwed up for little BS reasons like the one that ignited this outburst, I can easily see why Bale would've flipped out.
