 So, which one was supposed to be sarcastic? :lol
Uh, the second. Well, more facetious than sarcastic if we want to be technical. :lol

But, seriously, I detect just as much of a rush to defend Bale on this thing as there is a rush to burn him at the stake. And I suspect a lot of that has to do with the popular roles he's played as much as anything else. The truth is, none of us here really knows what type of person he is. He could be the coolest guy in the world (who had a very, very bad day)... or he could be the quintessential Hollywood primadonna hot-head, or anything in-between. The only thing is, I'm on the side that says this particular blow up is pretty damn hard to defend/excuse no matter what type of spin I've heard so far.

I'm not ready to throw Bale under the bus entirely or do some silly boycott of his work, but if his public reputation is harmed because of this it's his own damn fault and he deserves it. But it's probably wrong to either blindly judge OR defend the guy as a whole based on this one incident.

Ha ha. Everyone's entitled to a good freak now and again. After listening a few times, I'd want to pulverize the little "yes" man too. I mean, if the guy isn't going to pay attention, at least grow a pair!:lol:lol

Well, wofford did say no one. And as long as he's also talking about those blindly defending him, I agree.

Then again, not really an apt analogy. An audio clip was released that may or may not shed light on a person's character. Everyone can hear it for themselves and make up their own mind. This isn't a criminal trial, just peoples' opinions.

And what exactly is a jurors decision? An opinion based on evidence. I've always thought it was innocent until proven guilty so there is absolutely nothing wrong with someone defending him by saying we have no idea what the situation is because we don't. Until we do, those condemning the man based on one thing are completely in the wrong.

Bah. "Innocent until proven guilty" only applies in a court of law. That has nothing to do with this. You can't compare debate on an internet thread to a jury trial where all kinds of evidence (from both sides) is examined. Again, it's just people hearing this for themselves and forming their own opinions. There is no "right" or "wrong" here.

I personally could careless about what kind of person he is. I like his acting, beyond that I am not concerned with his personality.

I am impressed by his ass chewing skills too:rock

At the end of the day, I agree. I wouldn't let something like this affect my enjoyment of his work. That has nothing to do with it. Besides, if we based what we liked on the character of the people who created it I dare say we wouldn't like nearly as many movies, TV shows, books, much, etc as we do.

Indeed he has a talent for that as well. Someone needs to unless this guy on true villains, like child molesters and such. :lol

Not in the world I live in.

The analogy is there and most certainly can be compared. If you don't like a trial, well a witch hunt or a lynching is just as wrong when no one here is involved or knows anything about the situation. Form an opinion when you have a context.

"She turned me into a newt!"

"She's a WITCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

:mwaha

Sure people can base their opinions on an audio clip, but it's kind of judgmental to suddenly decide you (as in the general you, not the specific you) don't like the guy (whom you didn't know in the first place) because he yelled at someone.

I've seen plenty of people yell at others and it doesn't make me not like them anymore. Sure you might think "geez man, cool down," but then it's over and everyone gets on with their lives. It takes just as "professional" a person not judge someone unnecessarily.
