:clap Great stuff on here and I wanted to add one of the toughest to the thread. The Duke in The Searchers.

Oh yeah! Absolutely! They don't get any tougher than The Duke! And you've done a great job with him...post more pictures if you can. I would love to see more of him..

Re: Classic "Tough Guys" thread - Bogart, Cagney,Weissmuller (Tarzan), Cooper & other

I am really liking your recent additions to this thread, Jerry! You should try to find a more suitably sized hat for Grant though.

Overall these guys are looking great, so glad to see such a variety of old stars of the silver screen.

Re: Classic "Tough Guys" thread - Bogart, Cagney,Weissmuller (Tarzan), Cooper & other

Here is another tough guy custom. Eastwood in Unforgiven. A bit older in this one, but you still don't want to mess with him. :lol

Wow, Deathasylum! You've got some great figures...more pics if you can! Both your figures are excellent!

I'm a fan of westerns, but the only western figure I have is Gary Cooper...you're making me reconsider :thud:

This is an awesome thread and I'm glad I found it last night. I will post more pics on here for sure. :wink1:

Ok, I grew up seeing movie posters that kept telling me...

"Sean Connery Is James Bond"....in my opinion, he is still the best Bond, although I must admit Daniel Craig is a close second. We've got to get some Bonds on this thread...! After all, this is a Sideshow forum, right?

:clap Love Sean Connery James Bond, but you gotta give some love to Roger Moore. He had some great BOND films. :wink1: Also, I'm adding a bunch of John Wayne pics to my previous post. :yess:

Your Searchers Duke is incredible...spot on!:yess:

I remember seeing some of his later films when he was older as they came out at the movie theater (True Grit, and others), but the Searchers was when he was at his best, at the height of his career.

Have you considered building something for him, or putting something together in a layout? I saw a saloon out on ebay once that was a bit expensive, but could be built fairly cheaply. At any rate, great fig...thanks for posting!

I have been thinking about doing something for him, but haven't decided on anything yet. I think my Clint Eastwood William Munny needs something too. :wink1: Also, I agree that this is one of the Dukes best films.

These are pics I found up on Ebay a couple of months ago. I copied them because it looks fairly easy to build...

Can you imagine both Duke and Clint riding up at the same time?

:clap Fantastic. I need to make something along those lines when I get some time. I will have to add some more classic tough guys first. :)

Thanks sith. It took awhile to assemble everything, but I had a blast doing it. I also sculpted and painted the beard and scars on the HP head sculpt. I will post more pics soon. :wink1:

Well...only one word comes to mind...Fabulous! I love what you did with his beard, scars and bruises...

I agree totally- that's what make this hobby fun. It's the way you can take the sculpts, clothes and backgrounds in the direction that you want to take them.

Clint is certainly tough, and with the Duke and Clint, I believe that you might have the two toughest cowboys from the movies. Anyone else come to mind? I can't think of anyone...

They are the best hands down. You can throw some tough guys in the mix like Kirk Douglas, Lee Marvin, & Charles Bronson, but my money is on Wayne & Eastwood. :hi5: I left a name out of there cause he will be my next post.

Re: Classic "Tough Guys" thread - Bogart, Cagney,Weissmuller (Tarzan), Cooper & other

I know, not exactly known for being so much a "Tough Guy". More or less just a Hollywood Great, but I felt it is the same sort of era so I would show some of my James Dean custom figures, not all of them, but a couple.

Hey Joel,

Are you kidding me? Of course James Dean qualifys as tough! He's more of a rebel type of tough...Brando, I think, would also fall into this category...

And your figure is great...spot on! Did you paint him? Seems like you certainly at least, added highlights to a base. Great job if you did...

Hi Geronimo,

Thanks a lot. That is what I thought, more classed as a Rebel, as I feel with Brando, all are Hot Toys sculpts, the Rebel figures sculpt has had the hair and eye's repainted with skin texture added and the Giant custom has had hair lightening and skin texture added, glad you like them.

Re: Classic "Tough Guys" thread - Bogart, Cagney,Weissmuller (Tarzan), Cooper & other

Just thought that I would show this work in progress to, James Dean, beginning scene of Rebel Without a Cause, you can probably see I am quite the James Dean fan. The boots are temporally being used the sculpt needs some paint and highlighting.
