Yes, Joel, Peter did the smiling version together with Jerry Lewis...hmm, maybe I was named after him :)..it would explain my personality..

Thanks for your thoughts...! I think I agree with you..

You probably would have been named Michael, because Mick is more casual...anyway, Keith is better!

Thanks Fistful; I think I agree. The smiling Dino goes better with Jerry Lewis, as he was intended. Peter the Painter did the smiling Dino sculpt as well!

Nope, not Michael, it would have been Mick :slap :lol Glad my mom put her foot down on that one :yess:

Yes, be thankful for small favors :)...the Stones were big blues fans early on. You coulda been called Muddy(Waters) or Bo(Didley) or better yet, Howlin (Wolf)..

Howlin and Ringo, my two thread pals! Hey Joel, is there a story behind your name?

Funny thing Joel, someone asked me that on the other thread in the One Sixth Forum. I don't think I will be going further down that path. I actually am thinking about Sinatra permanently as a Von Ryan's Express bash. I put him in a tux temporarily (though I must admit, I like him that way). Other Rat Packers, Sammy Davis Jr, Peter Lawford, Joey Bishop) don't interest me enough. It was Frank and Dean that made them work really, with a little bit of Sammy. Here is a trivia question for you though...who started the Rat Pack? Hint: he interests me...

I understand mate, Bogart if I remember correctly?

I do not believe so! ;)

Yep, Bogart is right!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

I agree. Thanks for posting it. It seems to he a high quality likeness!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

I saw that a few days back, looks awesome, will be getting it and anything else classic actor wise they do!

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Are they selling it yet?

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Not yet. The Great Escape is the official figure, but I would love to make a Bullitt bash with an extra sculpt :panic:

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Hey, DA, when you say that "the great escape is the official figure" you mean that Star Ace will be coming out with the whole figure and that the sculpt will not be offered alone, right)? If that's the case, it depends on how much it costs to get the whole figure before I jump in. I have a bullet bash, but would like to upgrade it with that sculpt. I'm with you! It would be great to use for Bullet...

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Yeah, the company is making a full figure approved by his estate :yess: Lots of sites breakdown figures, so chances of picking up just the sculpt should be pretty good.

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Well that makes complete sense...thanks...my mind is moving a bit slower this evening..:slap

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Yeah, I will probably just end up grabbing the full figure and then probably try to find a loose sculpt for a Bullitt or Thomas Crown Affair custom! :yess:

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

Also, that base looks insane! :D

I may do the same, depending on price. Seems like they may get "The Great Escape" right...all things point to that thus far. Good sculpt, good base...I hope they don't mess up on the middle :)

Re: Classic Actors & Tough Guys - Bogart, Cagney, Wayne, Eastwood, Dean & Others...

I'm so glad that a figure of McQueen is being made. A few years back I tried putting one together but the sculpt I had wasn't very good.:monkey4 Now I see this and its looking great. I'll definitely get one figure and try to get multiple heads for all the McQueen characters I can think of.:lol
