I really need to give Matrix a rewatch there are some amazing sequences in there but it all fell flat for me on my last viewing almost 6 years ago

Part of the problem for me with Matrix is that it was ruined by the reveal

TOD underground stone stuff slows that movie down to a crawl but I still like the dinner and bridge sequence and Ford looked like a bad ass

Ughh that lady

But Raiders is far superior in every conceivable manner

No there is just no comparison of Lethal Weapon films with movies like Commando, Over the Top, Hard Target, Cobra etc...
Oh this I agree with. It might help to explson that I used to LOVE LW series, and was a huge Mel fan.

But revisiting those films made me realize that they ?are pretty thin? or ?anorexic? ....but not to the levels of the above which I never considers to be good films anyway.

Never will understand the commando thing. But even True Lies is weak unless you take it as a pure comedy.

Raiders Marion > TOD woman

Marion hitting Indy with the mirror remains one of the funniest scenes in any movie

Nothing in TOD even comes close to that level of quality

I opened this thread cause I expected click bait about how "OMG we need to talk about how SERIOUSLY not cool Revenge of the Nerds is, cause like, they're totally RAPISTS."

I was pleasantly surprised to see that I was wrong.

I can't add any to the lists though...I love the movies I love because of nostalgia and have always accepted them, flaws and all.

And yes, one of those movies IS Revenge of the Nerds and I'm glad I own a copy cause I think it's only a matter of time before it's banned outright. Or movies like Idiocracy or The 40 Year Old Virgin or any movie that ever existed where people called each other "gay" or "retarded."

I'm fully aware that I'm on the "wrong side of history" and I DGAF and never will. "Animal House" will never not be hilarious to me.

Also, isn't it weird how movies that are period pieces hold up better, even if they were made with outdated technology, but we just don't judge them as harshly cause they were depicting times before cell phones and stuff?

Maybe not banned, but an interesting look at how we did marginalize and make fun of some groups historically .....even the groups that were on the bottom of society had other smaller groups to belittle.

Most 50?s film show blatant sexism, white male dominated power and questionable villains....

They are still shown , warts and all. Hell Lethal Weapon has a ton of negative gay references.

My wife and I often just comment on how today those type of jokes and comments wouldn?t fly.

Most bangable primary femme of the Batman/Batman Returns/Batman Forever/Batman & Robin Quadrilogy...?

Vicky Vale
Catwoman
Chase Meridian
Poison Ivy
Batgirl

Those were not my order of choices, just the chronological list of femmes from the movie.

Batgirl is your first choice...????

For me, I have a hard time choosing between Catwoman (Pfeiffer) and Ivy (Uma) as their characters. In real life, Michelle wins hands down.

What about the Nolan trilogy?

Katie Holmes
Anne Hathaway
Marion Cotillard
Detective Ramirez (TDK)
Cillian Murphy
Nurse Joker
Bane
Alfred
Nightmare Batman
.
.
.
.

Maggie Gyllenhaal
