Hi xstoys and felmar. The guy who came over from the LCS (from whom i ordered the endo) and I labored for 2 hours plus before we gave up. This was the third endo he put together and the first one where he had this problem.

He did ask if i was ok with forcing it through, the only downside would be, it would grind out some chrome in the process.

I didn't want to go down that route, not after spending $6.8k on this. :banghead

So they're going to contact SS and see what they say, I hope they send a replacement hip or a whole replacement endo.

If not, I'll ask for a refund and get something else instead :monkey2

That sucks...so much!

Hopefully Sideshow can help you. They were VERY helpful to me in replacing parts when I had initial problems getting my Endo put together.

I hope it works out for you.

Aww... That's too bad Tnaig, I know how much u were looking forward to this.
I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything works out. Keep us informed bud.

Sorry to hear about the fitment issue. I too had issues with my endo as well. After 2 replacements, the 3rd one was a keeper for me. Forcing it is definitely a bad idea, as it will most likely break off something. In fact, on one of the replacements, a chunk of polystone broke off after applying ample pressure to get the leg in. Good luck with the replacement. Maybe SS will let you keep the defective one and send you a new one for free.:D. One more thing, try to get a full replacement piece instead of just parts. Replacement parts do not fit properly a lot of times. I was told by SS that earlier production parts and pieces do not fit well with newer production pieces.

well, we'll see how it works out. I'm praying i get another piece while my better half is praying they're out of pieces and i'm forced to take the refund.

thanks for the support on this. I can definitely appreciate how the stress of getting this piece to work can be a killer to the collecting hobby.

well it could be bye bye endo and hellooo iron child.

Keep your chin up!
I'm hoping for the best for ya', James :duff

Not to jinx anything, but does anybody know why the 1/1 is listed as a "waitlist" item on sideshow's site? Its always been a "backordered" item (due to the 3-4 months it takes to make one) before. Or are they actually stopping production of this? :google

no idea here man. it could be that they might actually stop. who knows? waiting on getting word back from my retailer :peace

I'm hoping it all works out for you James, the 1:1 is going to look awesome in that room!

Not yet, but its a holiday this weekend so no mail service till Tuesday. I have a spot for them all set though!

Hey guys. an update. Long story short, the replacement hips came today and a buddy and I spent the whole afternoon putting it together.

The good. It fits.

The bad, there is a crack line on the right knee joint and the eyes do not light up :banghead:banghead:banghead

All in all, I have to say this is a real impressive piece. Now i understand what Turtle meant when he decided to keep his 1:1 endo.

The Veteran edition has some real damage on it, even on the head (as you can see in the pictures).

However that said, I do like it; just not enough to overlook the non-working lights and the worrisome crack :sick

anyway, on to the pictures.

One more point to note. the fingers on both hands are articulated.

However, there doesn't seem to be any lateral movement for both arms as i had initially thought there would be.

In regards to the eyes not lighting up... you can try cleaning the contacts from all the major body components. When the factory sprays the paint or sealant, sometime the contacts are slightly covered with the residue. The eyes on my 1:1 endos also did not light up at first; on both endos. It drove me nuts. I was determined to make them work. Try cleaning the contacts with a brillo pad or sand paper to remove the paint residue.

Also if by "lateral" movement on the arm, you mean swinging left to right, there actually is an adjustment on the right gun arm. It is a big nut under the shoulder by the pistons. Peek under its right shoulder & you should see the nut. Loosen it to position left or right swing on the arm & use one of the giant wrenches the endo came with to tighten.

Hope that helps.

a terminator without light up eyes is not a terminator. send it back if you cant fix it.

thanks for sounding out, it helped; well at least with regards to the lateral movement. :D

I tried cleaning the contacts but no joy so far. will have to see what can be done. Did your endo have the crackline as well?

just going to see how SS replies to the LCS with regards to this.

Best regards,
James.
