It def sucks, but some Joe statue is better than no joe statue, I will wait to see if there will be a replacement, (I assume the CG's are seperate pieces?) if not I will probably take a partial refund, and just either paint them on or find a decal and see if that works. I have painted a few cobra logos in the past, and while tedious can come out good, I would have to see how big the area is, but I could possibly do a template and airbrush it on, but that will be awhile I am still fairly new to airbrushing.

I'll take $30 for a partial refund and not a penny less. I just don't understand how the factory can for get something simple but yet important. Don't these factories have some kinda template to paint these figures up...:dunno.

You would think, I believe they just forgot to either make up the logos, or fogot to distribute them to the workers to put them on, at least CC has his. pretty sure they are decals and not painted on.

Have you guys seen any delivered pieces WITH the Cobra emblem on the Crimson Guards? The pics on Sideshow's site still say "Prototype..."

I can see Sideshow stating that this was a change made in production and not offer any partial refunds...

That would be pretty messed up, shouldn't have been too difficult for them add it, just someone screwed this one up.

You guys said the display box does show the CGs with the Cobra sigil, right?

That constitutes as false advertising. I'm guessing Sideshow will either fix it mid-run or offer partial or full refunds. While their QC blows donkeys, their CS is impeccable.

Wow.

Glad I was never tempted to order this. Major let down for sure. For $300 I'd return it as chances are it wont fetch this much if you ever go to resell it.

Yeah, if this diorama was on the secondary market. I wouldn't pay $300 for this dio with the missing CG's cobra emblems. Like I've said before. It's a small miss of an important emblem.

While I agree with you Nam, think they could easily pull the 'final product may vary' line from all products these days and get away with it. I know Mattel is trying to pull that crap with Nekron's big o'l sycthe he was advertised with, but isn't coming with. And while that logo missing is a big deal to us, its only a paint difference which is what usually falls under that 'final product my vary' line. :(

They can pull that with the pics on the website, not the pics on the box advertising the product inside. :wink1:

Again, I feel the same way, but Toy companies pull that all the time. If you've ever compaired the proto pics on the packaging to what is actually in the box its never as nice :lol

I guess, in that case, it all depends on the dollar amount. But in the end, I've no sense of entitlement. Worst case scenario, I'd have absolutely no problem sending it back and getting a full refund if I didn't like it.

Mine is also missing the cobra emblems. Plus, the paint apps are really not that nice. This is not a $300 piece.

Return.

Began the return process today by speaking with customer service and emailing pics detailing my complaints.

Didn't mention this problem before, but the base on mine is lopsided.

Hi all,

I also began the return process. Besides the emblems missing, I also noticed that Cobra Commander's helmet looks different from the pics. The white line across the top is way thinner than what the pics show. I did not check the base, but dont doubt there are issues there too. This is a complete lack of quality control on their part, how can you miss something as big as a Cobra emblem that is so iconic on the trooper especially the Crimson and it is clearly shown in closeup pics in your packaging box. This makes me wonder about all of their pieces and what they are doing there. I hope everyone returns this so that Sideshow realizes they cannot continue to go this route with their customers. I am surprised there has not been any public acknowledgement on their part. Will keep you posted.
