SHUTOUT!
Really funny coming from a Gopher's fan. Yes, last night's game sucked, but I'd rather have it and a 13-1 record instead of Minnesota's record.
SHUTOUT!
To my mind, it's just as simple as looking at records and opponents. Both LSU and Oregon St. lost one game. LSU's loss was to the best team in the country, while Oregon State's loss was to a pretty bad team overall. End of season play matters, but not enough to push Oregon St. past LSU just because they finished strong considering the simple facts of who those teams lost to. Now if Alabama had lost, then I don't think there would have been much argument that Oregon St. deserved #2.Agree to disagree I guess.

Now that I'm off daddy duty for the time being I have the proper time to reply to one of the all time douchey types of sports related posts. It is this type of reply I'm referring to.
I made a comment about the Steelers being embarrassed. A fact and true statement.
Then there comes bumblebee and his dream team remark. Me being an Eagles fan I guess this means I have no right to participate in this thread according to bumblebee.
The fact of the matter is the Eagles sucked this year and underachieved big time. However I don't play for them! They should be embarrassed and have no room to talk. Not me! So come up with something else to say. Call me an _______. I don't care. But I can make any comment I want about any team I want and be guilt free.
If no one was allowed to contribute to this thread because their team lost this would be a boring thread. I will still play along as do many others.
The worst type of sport fan IMO is people who make comments like this and also wish players they don't like actually get injured. One a boyish transformer fan likes to do in this and the NHL thread.
So at least I contribute to this thread in a positive manner.

LMAO!......The setup was easy and you took the bait.
You knew this guy would rip on the loser Goofs to deflect attention from the performance of his LSU team.
This is what happens when you run your yap all season long about your Tigers. At least karamazov80 posts with restraint and dignity when talking about LSU.
By the way, the Goofs had nothing to do with.....
1. 5 first downs.
2. 92 total yards
3. Not crossing the 50 yard line until 7:30 left in the game!
And may I quote to you BadMoon's brilliant post....
My point was the irony of a fan of a perennial loser making fun of a team losing ONE game.
Yeah. Same differenceYou mean Oklahoma State? I expect you to stick up for LSU which is cool.
Being a lifelong Saints fan, I believe that I'm just beginning to accept that the team I love most is a genuine winning team and contender. And I mean, like, this year. I didn't believe it in fully in '06, or even in '09, but I'm beginning to feel it now. It is very strange and, frankly, a bit difficult going from having a crap team to having a good and potentially great one. I still find myself expecting them to do the things that they did year after year after dreadful year from time to time because it's been so hard-wired into my brain.SixM is speaking from the luxurious vantage point of a perennial loser. I should know, as a Cleveland fan in most sports I have learned it well. One day we will be in the crosshairs as fans of near contenders rather than tomato cans!
