That was an embarrassment to college football. LSU looked weak and impotent. The way that game looked lastnight perhaps Alabama should have played OSU. Bama's defense looked great. I wonder what the NCAA is going to do about it. Perhaps a plus another game? They said they don't want to ruin the regular season. So, I am not took sure what is going to happen.

They need to bump the game up to New Years like it should be. The long breaks kill these games. Its not even the same season anymore. Might as well call it the first game of the new season.

Oklahoma State should be #2. LSU got worked and looked they quit in the second half. Yes, I stayed watching after that kid got hurt.

Nah, I don't agree. LSU still had the regular season from hell and came out unscathed. Then they lost to a team that had only lost to them when they were ranked top 5. I think numbers 1, 2, and 3 are absolute no brainers despite LSU's performance last night.

Agree to disagree I guess. :dunno
To my mind, it's just as simple as looking at records and opponents. Both LSU and Oregon St. lost one game. LSU's loss was to the best team in the country, while Oregon State's loss was to a pretty bad team overall. End of season play matters, but not enough to push Oregon St. past LSU just because they finished strong considering the simple facts of who those teams lost to. Now if Alabama had lost, then I don't think there would have been much argument that Oregon St. deserved #2.

Anybody know how many Bama defenders are going for the draft. The NFL could use the speed of those guys.

Saints, Pats and GB could use some of those guys this weekend :lol

I hope Panthers draft some of those guys, they need them.

Could the Colts get Luck and Richardson.

Really funny coming from a Gopher's fan. Yes, last night's game sucked, but I'd rather have it and a 13-1 record instead of Minnesota's record.:1-1:

LMAO!......The setup was easy and you took the bait. :lol:rotfl:rotfl:lol

You knew this guy would rip on the loser Goofs to deflect attention from the performance of his LSU team.

This is what happens when you run your yap all season long about your Tigers. At least karamazov80 posts with restraint and dignity when talking about LSU.

By the way, the Goofs had nothing to do with.....

1. 5 first downs.

2. 92 total yards

3. Not crossing the 50 yard line until 7:30 left in the game! :horror

And may I quote to you BadMoon's brilliant post....

Now that I'm off daddy duty for the time being I have the proper time to reply to one of the all time douchey types of sports related posts. It is this type of reply I'm referring to.

I made a comment about the Steelers being embarrassed. A fact and true statement.

Then there comes bumblebee and his dream team remark. Me being an Eagles fan I guess this means I have no right to participate in this thread according to bumblebee.

The fact of the matter is the Eagles sucked this year and underachieved big time. However I don't play for them! They should be embarrassed and have no room to talk. Not me! So come up with something else to say. Call me an _______. I don't care. But I can make any comment I want about any team I want and be guilt free.

If no one was allowed to contribute to this thread because their team lost this would be a boring thread. I will still play along as do many others.

The worst type of sport fan IMO is people who make comments like this and also wish players they don't like actually get injured. One a boyish transformer fan likes to do in this and the NHL thread.

So at least I contribute to this thread in a positive manner. :lecture

You mean Oklahoma State? I expect you to stick up for LSU which is cool.

I didn't deflect anything...I admitted last night's game sucked. Everything about it from the game planning to the execution to the coaching to the lack of enthusiam.

As for running my yap all season about my team, I praised them for the things they did well and bashed them for the things they did horribly.....the only thing to praise from last night being Wing's punting, lol. Please show me where I posted about LSU without restraint and dignity.

My team got worked by a better team last night. No excuses.

The sad part is that a great 13-1 season will always get overshadowed by their no-show at the one that counted.

And you're right, the Goofs had nothing to do with it and I never insinuated they did. My point was the irony of a fan of a perennial loser making fun of a team losing ONE game.

:lecture If a fan has been running his yap all season long and loses the last game when it counts in such a pitiful fashion, then it's open season.

Feel free to change your board name to "316what the hell happened" :rotfl

Yeah. Same difference :D

I really don't think I'm being biased here though. Not that #2 matters, but I think LSU did more to earn it and less to lose it than Oklahoma St. What evidence do you have, apart from LSU losing badly last night, to justify their not being number 2? Do we not need to factor in the rest of the season and who those teams lost to?

SixM is speaking from the luxurious vantage point of a perennial loser. I should know, as a Cleveland fan in most sports I have learned it well. One day we will be in the crosshairs as fans of near contenders rather than tomato cans!

Being a lifelong Saints fan, I believe that I'm just beginning to accept that the team I love most is a genuine winning team and contender. And I mean, like, this year. I didn't believe it in fully in '06, or even in '09, but I'm beginning to feel it now. It is very strange and, frankly, a bit difficult going from having a crap team to having a good and potentially great one. I still find myself expecting them to do the things that they did year after year after dreadful year from time to time because it's been so hard-wired into my brain.

Well I made the big leap in the Colorado Rockies from expecting the worse and being surprised in 2007 to now expecting the best to only be constantly disappointed. I almost miss not having a heart to break.
