Disney owns marvel ? anyhow colossus looks great so far judging from the teaser!

But Marvel is still in creative control of their own product. If you checked back on the articles when it was announced that Disney has acquired Marvel there was quite an uproar which is pretty understandable. You'll also find that Marvel stated that though Disney now owns Marvel, Marvel will continue on having the creative control but just opens more venues for Marvel to venture in. Like for example have Marvel cartoons on the Disney channel.


To get back on topic.
I wonder how Colossus is gonna stack up next to Skaar...
Either way this will be massive!

That will be interesting.

It seems like he's looking down too, so may be hard to see his face in a head on display. Strange choice there.

First thing I thought when I saw it too FJ.

Then after some more thought, I realized if that is the case, then this is one of those statues that needs to be displayed on a higher shelf to get the impact of it.

Sort of like the Hulk PF ... on a higher shelf, the face can be appreciated more and IMO gives the more forward lunging toughness.

Thor PF on the other hand, IMO, has to be displayed low to medium shelf to appreciate the look on the face (yet this does work on high shelf with the pointing reaching up direction, just cannot see any face)

Especially with Cyke & Rogue looking upwards. Either way this will be phenomenal!

Where is Colossus anyways? He would freak when he sees this or did I miss it already?

True, I have my Hulk PFs at eye level atm and he does look good like that to me (altho I've seen some nice displays of him on top shelves.)

Thor PF is a problem, you can see his face from a low shelf but not the full majesty of his height, but then when you place him at eye level or higher you get to see more detail in his base, sculpted cloak and body but can't see his face as well anymore. Both displays have their merits. :x

If I decide to keep with the X-men display, Colossus will be displayed face on with the rest of the X-men so that may be a problem. Will be interesting to see the final look, maybe he'll have a switch out head looking a different direction (that will challenging to pull off.)

Well, at least there are no lines on his face, that already is an upside.

I rather have the chrome version as exclusive than prints, lame nameplate or switch of head.

Would love to have another chromed out Colossus. That is the reason that I didn't buy the CM Colossus. CM and company for whatever reason they were having a hard time getting him to chrome up right. Something about the humidity at the time, that was making the chrome bubble up and not set right.

Just curious as to why so man are against the possibility of him being chromed, Dont other companies bowen etc do chrome pieces successfully???

You can't make out the detail when it's chrome. In SSC's case that might be a good thing

WHOA! my Brain is Spinning to see more, It's a Great day to come home and find this preview waiting for me thanks to Joseph sending me a pic. WOW! It's a Great Looking Jim Lee Representation of the Man of Organic Metal, from what I can see the pose reminds me of someone standing under one light, kind of shadowed and you can feel the Rage building.
As far as size a true 1/4 scale for Colossus should be up to 23"+or- IMO, and I have a 1/4 scale Custom Colossus and the math seems to work as far as conversion goes I hope he is that big, I will be getting the Exclusive regardless but I do want to know what the Exclusive going to be? Head,Arms,Weapons, Oh wait He is a Weapon.
