I wanna go but I'd have to go by myself. Kinda scary to me.
Don't be such a wussy gurl. I went by myself the first year. As soon as I dropped my bags at the hotel, I made a beeline for the Sideshow booth and linked up with some of the Freaks. Easy sailing from then on. (there's usually a bunch of us Freaks at any given time there). Just need a cell phone and a person or two you could keep in touch with.
Never trust the hotel sites. Calling is the better option when wanting to book (for ComicCon that is).
With most hotels you can - you need to check their cancellation policy online. However, if you use a hotel booking service like Hotels.com or similar, you might be penalized for cancelling (they used to charge $50, but I think they've let up on that BS). I once booked through a hotel booking service and I was required to pay up-front for my length of stay (and this about 6 months before the Con) and if I had to cancel, I would be having to pay for at least one night.
I absolutely HATE hate HAATTTEEE to fly. But anymore, you really can't get anywhere without it without wasting a bunch of drive time/days. So I get non-stop flights whenever possible.
Right, they say the same thing for the Hard Rock and when someone called, they said they weren't taking reservations yet.
Does anyone know if you book a hotel, if something would come up, can you cancel? It'll be hard for me to commit totally this far in advance.
Staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. You can call and see if they have rooms left.
Glad you've got step one done on getting to SDCC.
I checked on Expedia for plane and hotel packages and the Manchester has no rooms left for that date.
You can also try the Sheraton in downtown, Days Inn in downtown, Holiday Inn on the Bay. Keep trying. It's possible these hotels are already booked for the Comic-Con allocation that goes up in Jan/Feb. If you can't book online right now your best bet is to call and book.
I was just checking on how much things were costing. I would call and book for sure. I don't like doing it online. Or I'll have my travel agent do it for me.
Are there casinos in San Diego?
