Yeah, I know, but he hasn't done much on there except grunt occasionally and bend that blond girl over. I agree he does look the part on that show though, he's massive and looks perpetually pissed.

He's on Game of Thrones, and he definitely fits the barbarian part. It gives me some hope for this movie.

The one thing I hate is the obvious 3D crap with things flying right at you to show that it's in 3D! Duh!

Yeah, seeing his role (so far) on Game of Thrones makes me feel more confident in his ability to play Conan. The movie looks promising, but I'm worried it will just be a hot mess like COTT turned out to be.

I'm certainly not expecting an Oscar caliber performance from the guy, I just though it was slightly suspicious that they chose to show so little of Conan in a Conan trailer.

I was surprised to see Rachel Nicolas in it. I only know her as Agent Ashley Seaver from Criminal Minds. It's strange seeing her with brown hair.

As a screenwriter on Conan The Barbarian, I get asked this question a lot.

The world of Hyboria, as Robert E. Howard described it, is fleshy and brutal. Bloody beheadings and bare-chested slave girls abound. However, while the movie is unflinching in its depiction of barbarism, slavery and warfare, the violence and nudity emerge from the fabric of the story. It isn't gratuitous.

Robert E. Howard's stories, although violent and perverse for their time, were not intrusively graphic either. So this is ultimately a movie about the character Conan, a character that will hopefully launch a healthy franchise of movies with stories and characters that celebrate Howard's work. Yes, you'll see blood and boobs, but this isn't a Cinemax movie; it's epic action/fantasy.

And yes, it's rated R.

The more I see this guy in Game of Thrones the more I like him. Still, hope the overall movie doesn't blow... but if it does I don't think it will be the actor's fault.
