Ya know there has been mucho complaining about how this guy looks. Personally I think he looks more like Frank Frazetta's artwork then Arnold did.

Don't get me wrong. I love Arnold as Conan (first movie anyway). In fact Conan the Barbarian is one of my all time favs. I have just been reading through some of the other posts and have read some of the complaints about how he looks and I think Face wise he looks fine. Yes he could be bigger. The film will probably not be too good. But it is going to be rated R and seems to want to be closer to Howards original stories.

I will be able to make a better call when I see the official trailer.

Hehe Marcus should be labelled "The Remake Director"

I'll go see this ............. even if at first glance I find it corny. The main thing here is, it comes with a 90 mill budget so it shouldn't lack decent efffects.

But I dont hate the guy. His remakes were the only ones I liked. Friday and Texas Chainsaw.

I don't know if I really think of Conan as a remake. More of a reboot perhaps. I really don't think of this film being related in any way to the Arnold films. The first Conan tried to base itself in reality. The second one was, well, just awful. Word is that this one is trying to be more like the Howard stories so it should have a very different feel from the Original Conan film.

Pathfinder had some cool visuals but overall was a bad movie. I hope the script for this film is tight and that Marcus can bring some of those Frank frazetta paintings to life.

It is early...I will have to actually see the movie before I judge it.

But I saw the trailer and the trailer sucked.

I'm scared.

Edit - Damn! Now the trailer won't stop! Now I really AM getting scared.

Teaser trailer was on Battle:LA and I thought it was incredibly lame. Couldn't tell anything from it - but that's more the fault of the trailer than the film.

I got the 80's vibe from it as well. I assume it was intentional to envoke some nostalgia from the Arnold flicks.
