I just got the same e-mail...does anyone know when CSC moved to their new web site?

I just forwarded that e-mail to my bank. I'm sure they would be very interested to know where the source of the fraudulent charges came from now that we know that it was CSC who was liable for the security breach and not the credit card processor.

my card got hit with this fraud. some purchase was made for Betamax VOIP Credit from Ireland... :(

Canceled the card.

Got their email too. I haven't had anything charged, but I don't want to be checking my cards everyday. Don't get me wrong I check them pretty frequently, but this was boarding on paranoia. I just closed the cards I use and requested new ones.

I missed 2 phone calls from my Chase Fraudulent Dept and will be calling them back. So far no criminal purchases have been made with my card but...........

Make sure you call Chase back! That's how I found out my card was used last Sunday. They were pretty good at catching the charges, since they were both $1.00 each.
And today I got my replacement card from them so I'm going around online to update all the real cool legit websites I use (Netflix, Sideshow, Amazon, etc).
I don't think I'll be using Cornerstore anymore though :monkey2
From now on it's either Sideshow, Joe (Mista305), or nothing at all!

for those of you who have experienced the fraudulent Itunes charges, was it $1.00 exactly or the regular $0.99 cents that you would be charged for a regular purchase?

It is common for online thieves to make small purchase amounts to "test" the card.

Also, keep in mind that those can be "Pending" transactions and you can't validate them as true transactions until a day or so later. It is dependant upon your bank and credit provider though. You would not see the real amount and what they bought until later.

However, despite the crap situation...I very much thank Tom from CSC for being very upfront of this situation and letting the customers know.

I agree with you I was a little upset at not being informed previously by CSC but I can appreciate the message that they sent.

I also know about the test charges since I already canceled one card when I got a pending charge for $1.00 from hostway.com.

The reason I asked about the Itunes charge is that I do use Itunes and just wanted to see how some of those fraudulent Itunes charges were showing up.

I'm really surprised that the customers of CSC have been taking this pretty well overall.

I know if I was on the chopping block myself I'd be very angry with the hassle and paranoia you would feel from being a victim of such a severe security breach.

Just thought I would throw this out there as some may not know about this an be interested. There are credit cards that you can get that will allow you to ask for one time use numbers for that card. These are specifically for internet transactions that you feel may not be safe or if you do not want a company to have your number on file. Mine for example is a regular credit card that I can go use at any store. However if I wanted to make a online purchase form someplace that I am not sure is safe I can go online to my credit card account and have a one time use number made for the card. I then use that number for the internet purchase and if someone steals it is useless.

Well I just updated my info with them. Lets see how it goes. If I get any more fraudulent charges, I'm done with them. But I'm willing to give them a second chance and see if they really did fix their problems now. I sure hope so because ordering from them sure beats hunting for DC Universe Classics.
