Thanks for posting....I ordered a lot from them but everything looks ok for now.

This is obviously more widespread than CSC believes...and while it may not be their fault directly, people who ordered mere days ago are getting hit...so to not let their customers know by email is just bad business. Like I said, if you're worried, cancel your card and only use money order when dealing with CSC. I wouldn't give them your new card info...

I am curious to those who had numbers stolen, did you save your card info on the the CSC site? I've been checking my card everyday and no problems still. Have put 2 orders with them within the past month...but I dont save my info on their site.

Yeah, this is going to really hurt their business. Things are probably perfectly safe now, but you will always have have a little doubt before ordering. It's a shame. I've always had good dealings with them and it really isn't their fault this happened. Hopefully over time customer confidence can be restored.

My number was stolen and I didn't have my info saved on their site. Hopefully you won't be hit, but keep checking your account.

I'm curious also. I've ordered from them for years and will continue to order from them. Can people give details of how there order was placed and what fraudulent charges were done on the cards involved.

Somethings aren't jiving...people getting hit with preorders and no info saved, not yet charged for the items. Begs the question, how can this be a processor issue if people are getting hit without being charged, and also just what info is sent to the processor?

In their defense, its not exactly in their best interest to send out a mass email and say "Oh look guys we or the company we partner with for processing your cards may have been hacked. Just an FYI." I'm sure there are legal issues and protocols that have to be adhered to in a situation like this....nobody wins from something like this.

Well,
I guess I'm a member of the "My sh$$ got stole too Club".
My CC company called the other night about some charges, but when I checked my CC statement, everything was cool. This past Tuesday I checked my account again, and D^^n!!!!!!!!!!! I had about $300.00 charged on my card, that I did not authorize. The idiot that did this, in my case, is not gaining anything. They ordered some stuff from PetMeds and the crap came to me.
One thing that has me really PO'd is the fact that I have the Scar 1:1 mask on order through SS using the flex pay method and the first payment is due to come out on 03-20. I hope I get my new card befor then.:banghead:mad:

I had to replace my debit card back in October because of fraud and kind of wondered where I had used my card that might have been a problem... I just now remembered that I got the Green Vega from CSC just a short time before that... now I'm wondering if that was where my card was compromised? At least I haven't pre-ordered anything else from them since the Vega, so I hope the new card is still ok.

Another question comes to mind...
If it was the processor that was hacked, couldn't other sites be compromised as well? Or do those processors work with only one store at the time?
As for the pre-orders also compromising cc's, it doesn't surprise me, because you send the cc info through when you pre-order.

The ^^^^ers got me too. I pre-ordered Dutch and Billy from Predator on Feb 19th. I've been in touch with CSC today and they said the same thing that was posted here ealier in the thread about the situation,. They also said to enter new card details with my pre-order number in the comments section and they'd add my order to that new card.

I checked my credit card that I have used and ordered many, many times via cornerstore comics...

I have a preaut charge for $1 from something I do not recognize (but will have to check cause I do forget stuff) and a $25 preaut charge from AARP...now, I am in my 30s and have never called AARP....aside from these two, nothing...but these may be test charges....

is CSC contacting there recent Buyers? to alert them of this? cause i dont see any Catution on there website.

I would say that it has been compromised, because mine had some of those little BS charges also.

They got me too. It bugs me that I hadn't used CSC for about year before I pre-ordered Sweeny Todd back in Oct. I almost didn't order it and much as I love the figure I almost wish I hadn't considering the hassle this is going to cost me.

I was just reading about the problem on here yesterday when I got a package from PetMeds. I knew right then they'd got me too. What is up with sending the victim a package? In my case is was stress relief medicine for dogs. I couldn't help wondering if that was a message, like "you are going to need this you, um, female dog".

My credit card company said they had declined some suspicious charges over the last few days but that it looked like I have a heck of a lot more to sort out. They canceled the card and said I will have five or more PAGES of charges to go through when I get my statement to tell them which (almost all) are bogus. The PetMeds folks were great about it, but I've got an order somewhere that is stuck in limbo with the canceled card and that place hasn't been helpful about changing the number.

Still, it could have been worse for me. I've got a once in a lifetime sort of trip in a few weeks and I would have needed that card. The replacement should get here in time at least.
