Does DCBS charge when they ship or soon as you place a order?

DCBS charges when they ship and they give you a short period (approximately 2 weeks) to edit or cancel items ordered.

They have great service but it does take some time for them to update their site on some new items.

For example, the Power Girl statue was listed on other online stores but wasn't listed on DCBS until a week or two later. I just kept checking their website for updates and picked her up for $20.00 cheaper than at BBTS. :D :rock

Cool I just wanted to know before I place a order for Ivy and Raven. Thanks.

...and double Ouch!

Nice pics all.

Thanks man. Yeah I put the gloss on the hair of all my female pieces. I just like the way it looks and like you said it gives them a boost, makes them stand out a little more.

Havok, you inspired me so I went out and bought some pledge future shine and used it on several of my statues so far and it makes them look so much better in person.

That's awesome BC, I'm glad you like how it makes them look. :D

I'm not really sure what made me decide to start adding it to my pieces. I guess I just wanted to try to simulate the shine that, to me anyway, it seems pretty much all women have to their hair. I guess guys can have it too but I mostly attribute it to women. :lol I think it works and like you said, it just makes them look alot better.

Havok is a inspiration to us all.:duff Anyway how long do you guys think this line will last until it changes to another artist? Don't get me wrong I like AH and I would love for him to continue. Just thought I would ask the question.

I'm not really sure, I hope it lasts awhile for him. I really would love to see a good Campbell line but I'm sure Dodson would be next.

Here is a small gallery of the ones I just did. I just flashed pics so I didn't take time to set them up or focus that well but you can see the shine. It made a world of difference on She-Hulk, the paint was flat looking to me and Black Queen turned out really good. I will probably do the Cover Girls soon.

Wow, BC! BQ looks sweet with the Pledge Future Shine! :rock

How did you apply the polish? Did you use a towel or soft rag?

I'm kinda scared to mess the paint apps on my statues.

I just used a brush to brush it on, it hasn't messed anything up and I've seen some others do this besides Havok but never knew what they used until now.

Take another look cause I added more. Zatanna is still a little wet because I just finished her and the white doesn't show up good in the pic I took. Some of the pics aren't that great cause I just rushed through them so you could see the difference.

They all look great BC. I'm glad it all went well and you like how they look! :rock

I think you should definitely give it a go Snoopy, if you like how it looks that is. It can be a bit nerve racking if you've never done anything like it before but I think it's worth it. I went into it with no experience whatsoever and I think mine came out looking alright. It's really up to you though but you don't have to worry about it messing up the paint or anything. I've had it on some of my pieces for months and there's no problems.

I like how it looks but I might try experimenting with the gloss coating on an old piece of cold cast resin base I have using my air-brush. :D

I have a quick question. I have been collecting these from the beginning. My WW was one from the first release and she is pretty orange. Is the paint on the second release better and less orange?

I'm pretty certain it's not the paint whether it's from the first or second release. I think mine is from the second release and when I took her outside for pics, she wasn't orange at all. When I brought her inside and put her on my shelf, I noticed just a little bit of an orange look to her.

So I really think it depends on the lighting that you have her displayed in. If you have some good lighting I don't think the orange will come out as much. My lighting isn't all that good in my display area so that's why I can see a little orange. So maybe it's the paint that they used that looks different under different light but I think as long as you have her in a well lit area, she should look fine.
