No I'm keeping her. In all fairness, the paint issues are not that bad, it's just that all the other ladies enjoyed damn near perfect paint apps and for my beloved PG NOT to be perfect, well it's a crime really. But why a sticker DCD? why???

I was kinda on the fence about PG, not because I don't love her, I think she is a great character and I always want her books to succeed (but they just don't know what to do with her to make her stick), but because compared to all the others in the line she is just so BRIGHT! and when you stick out like a sore thumb the detailing had better be dead on, same thing with the Wonder Woman, they didn't really go out of the way to make the costume seem like it was separate just kinda looked like they painted over her nekkid body, and Wonder Woman is my favourite DC character (Gail Simone is a goddess). So with what you showed it the pics, I don't really feel compelled to get her.

She looks good though. Was the paint issue on her cleavage that little bubble/clump? I imagine that's not universal. Can you exchange her?

I doubt it. I purchased her through my LCS and they opened her while I was standing there with comics in hand to check for breakage. She wasn't broken so I really didn't have a reason to look any closer. It wasn't till I got home when I actually sat down with her that I noticed the paint issues. Oh well. I'll ask next time I'm in there.

I got my Wonder Woman and I absolutely love her! :D The statue itself isn't perfect, there's a small mark by her left shoulder where the lasso rubbed and a small what looks like a reddish paint mark by her left elbow. The lipstick looks just a tiny bit sloppy also but I'm probably just nitpicking now. I really couldn't be happier with her though and it makes me want Powergirl all the more.

I also made a few small modifications to her. I put a gloss on her hair like I usually do with my female pieces. I also put a gloss on the gold parts of her outfit and her bracelets to give it more of a shiny metal look. I put a gloss on her boots too cause they were just too matte for me. I'm not sure if you can notice it in the pics I'm gonna post but that's what I did.

Alright I've talked enough. I'll post the pics now even though enough have already been posted. They didn't come out as good as I wanted but it was pretty cloudy out.

Great pics! The gloss gives her a boost. I really couldn't read it at 1st I have bad eye sight so I thought I was reading the word glass. I was like that doesn't make no sense. I really need to use gloss on Black Canary's hair.

HAVOK that looks incredible. You skin tone looks much better than those I have seen, maybe it's the lighting? Good Job, Glad you had a good experience with urban collector they do a good job

Havok's seems to have a nicer skin tone than mine by a little bit. I'll post up two shots I took lately. I've got a bunch more, but I still need to edit/write up a review eventually.

Thanks man. Yeah I put the gloss on the hair of all my female pieces. I just like the way it looks and like you said it gives them a boost, makes them stand out a little more.

Thanks man. :duff

Yeah I can definitely confirm that it is the lighting when it comes to Wonder Woman. When I took her outside for the pics her skin tone looked just about perfect. When she's inside on my shelf though I can see the little bit of orange tint to her skin that you guys were talking about. It doesn't really bother me but it certainly seems like it's the lighting doing it and not the paint itself.

Urban Collector was great, they shipped fast and their prices are some of the best I've seen.

Those are some great pics, Havok! :rock

DCBS has shipped my PG! :woo
Thanks Snoopy!

Congrats on PG shipping out! :rock I'll be looking forward to seeing pics, even though they'll make me sad I don't have her. :monkey2 :lol

Outstanding upgrade!

How did you apply the gloss? Mask and airbrush or brushed on?

Cheers, Carl

Thanks man, I appreciate it. :duff

I just brush it on and the product I use is Pledge with Future Shine. I know it may sound strange since it's a product you usually use to polish floors but it works really well. It's acrylic based also so it doesn't do any harm to the paint or statue. I've used it on just about my entire collection with no problems.

Good choice!

Future is something I use on model airplane canopies after I polish them. I dip the canopies and let them dry under something so the dust doesn't get to em as they dry.

Guess I'll have to give it a try on mine. I have a few bottles of future for use on things except floors - LOL!

Again, outstanding work done to upgrade the statue. Keep up the good work.

Cheers, Carl

I guess it's not as strange as a choice as I thought then. :lol It was recommended to me by someone who uses it also. I'm not a professional or anything by any means though, putting a gloss on my pieces is the closest I've ever come to modifying them. I've never done any actual painting or anything like that.

Thanks again for the compliment. :duff
