gotta say I enjoyed this film a lot more than I thought I would. Good balance of the cowboy/alien action. Not too much (a la Transformers) but enough to tell a story thru. Another Blu to add to the collection!

Saw this today with the family. I thought it was great and they all enjoyed it pretty good too. I thought the alien design was cool.

Now off to Ebay to get the poster.

I want to pick up this movie poster...

Saw it today. Possibly the most "fun" I've had at a movie this summer. Terrific entertainment.

One thing's for sure, as sci-fi Westerns go it sure beats the hell out of Timerider, Back to the Future III and Wild, Wild West. :lol

Also for period UFO flicks I'd say Harrison Ford is now nicely redeemed for KOTCS.

I'd probably pick up a PF or HT figure of Craig's Jake if either was ever made.

It was a great film. Honestly, though, Favreau did such a good job with the "Cowboys" part, it makes me want to see him do a straight Western.

I saw it and enjoyed it. I know a few people that were expecting it to be a campy joke of a film, like Men In Black. I think they'll be surprised at the relatively serious tone.

I think Favreau handled the Western elements quite well.

I didn't mind her character...

..in fact, she ended up reminding me of "Starman" a little bit which was kinda cool.

Actually she reminded me more of...

...the chick from Cocoon or maybe even the good alien from "The Hidden." Either way a great throwback to 80's aliens in disguise, IMO. :lol

Will see it next weekend. But wow, it tied with that terrible looking Smurfs movie for Box Office take. :lol

I'm surprised so many liked it. Just got back from it and really didn't care for it much. :dunno All it did was made me hope for another Indiana Jones flick while Ford can get around as good as he does. :lol

Def agree with the 2nd half of this. I walked out of the cinema just wishing that good script could be be written to allow him to play INdy one more time!

I'd like to see Favreau do a straight western as well. :)

Well the scenes that didn't have aliens in them weren't exactly on the level of Unforgiven or True Grit. I'm good with this movie as far as Favreau directing Westerns is concerned unless he decides to do a direct sequel. I'd be down for that.

Medicom is doing the figures. https://www.sideshowcollectors.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98132

Interesting, I might be down for them (depending on the price). I really enjoyed the movie (it's James Bond and Indiana Jones fighting aliens... I mean c'mon what's not to like?). I thought Ford brought a nice gravitas to his role (I liked the scene in the upside down boat with the boy and the apple/knife and the later scene where he explains where he got the knife from) and Craig was good as the bad guy turned good-- Brown's preacher summarized that character arc well early on.

If they have a good script for Indy 5 I say Ford's more than ready for it.

Looks like this won the neck and neck box office battle for first place against The Smurfs.

Thank God... I mean, I love Les Schtroumpfs-- my girls are playing Dancing Smurf Party on the wii right now-- but that movie looks :monkey1

This movie was much better than I expected.

Really loved the overall feel, the Alien designs were awesome..
