I think Spook has gotten impersonal because the audience has grown so much. You see so many new members pop up around this time looking for codes, and for every one of those, there are probably hundreds of others starting in the hobby as well checking in the social media sites. I’m sure at one time it was much more manageable to interact with a few hundred fans and give away a handful of generous prizes. But having to deal with now thousands (tens of thousands?) of people out there, all demanding free stuff, it’s enough to bankrupt any business if they were to do what we say they should. Add to that the probability that business isn’t doing that well for them, what with people getting more and more fed up with QC issues and rising prices, they have no choice but to be a little more conservative with these giveaways.

I remember one year someone was on here talking about how easy it was to win prizes. He said he entered a contest and won a Black Widow Hot Toys figure. Then he told his friend about it and he won one too. I wonder if he's still winning stuff?

I've been lucky enough to win a few things over the past two years including an Instagram contest on Twitter last year during spook for a Star Wars figure and a couple Hot Toy goodies on Twitter. It's a lot of luck, but very possible.

I did, but I was back before the code dropped. Kuat always beats me at the typing part -- transcribing the code from the newsletter picture into that damn box.

But there's hardly a rush on these all-day codes from the newsletter.

It's the next code y'all should be worried about. Muhahaha....

I’m happy with whatever we get. $2 ? , it’s $2 more than I had to begin with. So far I’ve collected $47 in RP. What other company does what Sideshow does? Does Hot Toys? When’s the last time Hot Toys gave you anything? I’m up to $230 in points either from purchases or reward points. That’s practically a free figure! They are a fun company that gets its customers involved and has them interact with each other. Like the soul borrowing etc, fun stuff. Look at the comic cons stuff they do, the give stuff away all the time. Are they perfect, no, but who is? Over the last few years I’ve won reward points, came in second place to almost winning a Hoth Luke and Taun Taun. One year I won a Han and Luke in Stormtrooper disguise, one year I ordered a figure and received a free medicom figure. I think we need to stop complaining and demanding free things before this all goes away!

Has anyone noticed missing RP? I was at $188.45 yesterday, but after adding the last code I'm at $186.45.

So, looks like I lost $4.

Must have more fingers than that! I don't keep that page open because it's time-stamped. Anyway, glad he's on the ball
