So if the customs section had a commerce sub-forum, someone showing a OOAK 'not for sale' head sculpt, for example, would post that in the regular section while someone with a sculpt that was for sale would only be allowed to post pictures of it in the 'custom commerce' sub-section or could there be an additional 'look at this sculpt' thread in the main custom section? If there could be a 'look at this sculpt' thread in the main section I don't see how that is any different than the way it is setup now.
And relegating some of the best work around here which arguably gets the most posts and attention to a sub section doesn't seem like a great solution. Maybe make it a regular forum among the other art forums instead?
This is totally my point that people just don't seem to understand. You will not limit sale threads to some back area, the same threads will continue to pop up in the regular section.
Example (fake) month of March
Commerce Custom Section new forums :
Walking Dead Heads interest
Dude Figure for sale
Alex Delarge figure for sale
Einstein heads interest
Now comes may and all that stuff starts to ship and now guess what happens in the regular show your customs section
May
Regular Customs section :
Show your finished Walking Dead figure thread
Show your Dude thread
Show your Alex Thread
Show your finished Einstein thread.
and guess what threads are still getting bumped in the sale section.
Commerce Custom Section new forums :
Walking Dead Heads
Dude Figure
Alex Delarge figure
Einstein heads
Your doubling the amount of threads instead of limiting them more, and on top of that there are still going to be people who only click on the show your Dude thread and ask "Hey where can I get a Dude like this" That sale discussion will spill over into the regular thread and the sales threads will get bumped with people showing off wips.
Your threads will still get pushed just as far back and we'll need twice the moderation at double the bandwidth, its exactly what happened last time.
Cluttered as ____. Mark my words.
