The Dark Archer/Merlyn returns this week, i really want to see more of this side of Malcolm Merlyn but i'm starting to think this could be the running theme of season 2. They could mirror Oliver's flashback from this season with Malcolm having flashbacks to his time there, may be explaining it to Tommy.

I'm hoping Oliver runs a goblin glider, err I mean an arrow through him soon. :rotfl

My guess is that Oliver will end up killing the Malcolm (accidentally?). Maybe protecting his mother from him? Tommy will witness it or find out and blame Oliver and become next season's villain.

I kind of hope that doesn't happen as it is a rip off of the Green Goblin/Harry Osburn origin, but what else does Tommy have to do? The guy is a complete zero on the show. Heck even Laurel is going to end up dumping him for Oliver. :lol

:goodpost: I've been getting that vibe. Theres alot of parallels in the two storylines.

My one wish for next season: Oliver gets a proper mask. Tired of the leprechaun mascara (eyeshadow? whatever) :lol

I was under the impression that they were setting up Thea as Speedy, but with Roy Harper in the mix now, my hopes for her character getting bumped off seem greater than ever.

I can't see them killing Malcolm off, John Barrowman has so much more to offer the series. It would be much better if Oliver kills Tommy by accident, i can see that working.

Manu Bennett has supposedly been offered a contract for season 2 that will see him rise to the spot as number 1 villain, could be that Malcolm employs Slade. It'd give it a real twist as the way they've done it so far whilst Slade has taught Oliver to fight, some of Oliver's compassion has rubbed off on Slade.

I just realized there was an Arrow thread... stupid me lol. Anyway! I really hope the story doesn't turn this way. This being the first season I doubt they would already copy other story lines.

Black Canary is Green Arrow's main chick and as her name in the comics is Dinah Laurel Lance, I figure they're grooming her for the Canary role. Hopefully we'll see her suit up next season. They also threw in an inside reference about her wearing fishnets for Halloween in one of the first few episodes. So yeah, she's definitely going to be BC.

Almost forgot, she works for the "CNRI" legal group.

I hope they do something with Roy, but I dont know if it would be a good idea to bring in an active side kick yet.

Have they explained the Black Arrow's origin yet? I dont remember.

Every week I hate Tommy Merlin's character a little more, which might be what the writers are going for since it seems he is destined to become a villain next season. At least the character will have something to do, but I just don't care for the way the writers are going about it. His sudden hatred of Oliver (because Ollie didn't confide in him that he was the Arrow), his complete 180 in at first hating his father and then going back to work for him, (huh? why?) and his abrupt breakup with Laurel (this one I don't care so much about as they weren't good together anyway).

Looks like last night's episode was the "break up" episode (Tommy/Laurel and Oliver/Diggle). A little too cheesy and 90210-ish for my tastes. Let's get back to more mature storytelling.

It's funny because usually they annoy me, but the best parts of last night's episode for me were the Thea/Roy scenes.

I was really impressed with last night's episode, it's the first time it hasn't felt like a guilty pleasure. I'm curious to see where they go with Diggle. Can't say I blame him for splitting, Ollie took him for granted pretty much the whole time they were partners.

The cw is dead to me after what they did to smallville. Thats was such a waste of time watching that show.

Man, the ending music with Ollie's sister and GA's new sidekick was pretty damn good, gave me goosebumps.

Its to the point I'm enjoying the island scenes much more than whats going on with everyone else. Seems they are really trying to bland out his character from what the series started as. He needs to get back to basics and stop creating situations that makes sure someone else is added to the list of knowing his identity every 4 episodes. On a plus, I did enjoy the hitman, although I was thinking he may have been a better challenge to ollie. Oh well. :dunno

Casting info for next season...

Felicity, Roy and Slade are all going to be series regulars next year.

I am happy with all three. Wonder if there will be any paring down of the current cast to make room for them?

the best thing is to just forget about the comic book and take this show as its own entity. I enjoy watching it. Especially when he gets beat the hell up and not a bruise on that pretty face:) Love Thea, and love Felicity more, we need to see her home life.

i wouldnt mind a island oliver or a casual oliver for injustice since he is already in the game. and they can just re use the lines that amell already voiced for the game

This looks cool, this is from a new game coming out?

:eek

I'm not a console gamer, but thats pretty cool. Think its a straight up tie as to which is my favorite move he used, the motorcycle drive by or the slide under and tether arrow slam back to the ground. :lol

I thought last night's episode was pretty good. It seemed like more of a "set up" episode for the season finale as not much happened - with the exception of Walter being rescued. Malcolm's "undertaking" weapon seems a little over the top. Sounds like it is something to wipe out the Glades. Felicity looked great in the casino scenes! Bummed there were no island flashbacks though.
