I think all the vibrating is a brilliant twist on both his power set and the nature of his secret identity. I also love the face vibrating. Though, the best part had to be how Joe reacted to the vocal vibrations. It was such a human moment, for as little as it was, and, ultimately, it's stuff like that that helps strengthen the idea of their relationship for viewers like us.

Quote of the week!

It was good for it's time, but I remember thinking it was kind of crazy how much bigger he looked than Keaton Bats or Reeve Supes. It could have been so much worse. For the new one, if they let his costume turn yellow at the hands and feet while he's moving to indicate excess generated heat, that might help satisfy a throwback to the classic scheme.

I like Iris. I still don't feel the chemistry between her and Barry, though. I mean, I get the sibling chemistry more, to be honest, which tends to make his love for her feel slightly odd, even if dad is cool with it. I actually thought the falling out between Barry and Iris didn't really seem that earned, especially when the solution was so utterly clear - TELL IRIS YOU ARE THE FLASH. Barry not wanting to tell her would make more sense, to me, if there weren't already four people who know his secret identity.

I liked Plastique. It was nice to have a meta-human who wasn't instantly evil. That being said, I thought the plot here was one of the weaker ones for the show. Wells being so blatantly manipulative seemed odd. I mean, even if he didn't expect her to return. It was pretty risky.

That being said, how cool was it to see Flash run up a building and run over water? And the files scene was great too. So even though the story wasn't the BEST, I still enjoyed the episode over all. Plus, Clancy Brown showing up was great. I still sort of wish he could have stuck around longer on Sleepy Hollow.

P.S. - Jesse L. Martin is awesome. Seriously, he does an amazing job with Joe West. The Joe/Barry scenes are almost always great. Partially because Martin plans it so naturally, and Grant Gustin seems to play really well off of that.

Telling Iris would've been the easier thing to do, but not the right one, when he promised Joe he wouldn't tell her. Barry's a man of his word; I respect that.

Iris the new Chloe, metahumans the new meteor freaks, hope it doesn't become too much like Smallville...

Crap, my sound cut out. What did that barista say after "I think he's cute" when talking to Iris about Barry before Tony walks in?

Paraphrasing but she said she missed having him around.

Another solid episode for me. Had flashbacks to the JLU episode "Divided We Fall" during the final showdown. Don't know why Barry did what he did at the prison. It might bite him in the butt later.

Holy crap at the outro. :yess:

Watching Barry's little celebration as they closed the door on Girder was so great. :lol I'm really loving this show.

Having reverse flash show up like that and jacking the files, wouldn't it make Joe more suspicious of Wells?

Probably. But I don't think Joe would risk his daughter's life pursuing that thread (for now). I honestly thought for a moment that he was going to bite it at the end a la Ned Stark. I still think he will before the season is done though. :sad

I don't think Wells is Reverse Flash, I think it's the dude banging Flash's woman.

When Barry split the punching bag, he was unfazed by it.

Obviously something is up will wells. Him showing up in Central City with no known history means he prolly came from the future and is making sure Barry becomes the Flash at all costs.

Or, I don't know what I'm talking about.

Well...Barry's Reverse Flash is Eobard Thawne...Eddie Thawne...either Eddie Is an ancestor or he could honestly just surprise us. I don't know anything about Hunter Zolomon though.

Other than that, I thought this episode was fantastic. Probably my favorite so far other than the pilot and Captain Cold episode.

The dude in the wheel chair is clearly a bad guy. I mean, he killed someone not too long ago and he's lying about being in a wheelchair. Only a sick person or a super villain would lie about being handicap.

I can't decide which way they're gonna go with Zoom. The only thing that points to Eddie so far is his last name. Literally everything about Wells screams villain, and he's got knowledge of the future, but it's so blatant that it could just be a red herring. :dunno

I don't know that Wells is Zoom, anymore. I see stuff like Stagg, but then I think about how he protected Grodd, and I can't help but wonder if, perhaps, he is trying to help. What if Zoom is someone we haven't even met yet; someone who's been cast, but hasn't been revealed to the public? Wells could always be a descendent of Barry. Maybe a Bart Allen?
