Arrow's their Batman for the time being.

I know, good for Ollie, bad for non existent Bruce. :lol

"Why...why do you keep calling me, Bruce?"

So I'm not brushed up on my firestorm knowledge but are they taking creative liberties with him? I though they had to have both guys together in order to become firestorm? Unless they're both stuck together already and wells helps to seperate both guys.

Their handling of the Flash really makes me think they could do a full on Batman show. I died a little inside seeing that they're recreating the Ras duel with Oliver, thats iconic Batman **** right there, I know why theyre doing it, but c',mon just give us the Bat already. :gah: :gah: :gah:

You and me both, brother, you and me both. It's funny because they're clearly trying to make Arrow seem more badass by aping Batman's villains, and, for that version, they are, but, as far as the character, in general, goes, it's almost like they're stealing away any sort of importance the character had any time they throw one of those villains at him. It's kind of like they're saying "yeah, you kind of suck, so just...act as much like Batman as you can, m'kay? No, don't talk, just growl. Yeah, we know you're used to being the opinionated, sometimes quippy emerald archer, but, when we toned your costume down from 'emerald' to 'olive,' that came with the expectation that you'd replace any and all of your other defining characteristics with those of the dude in the rubber Batsuit."

Seriously, though, I'd like to find the guy responsible for this "Batman is not allowed on television" ********, and...well, perhaps, I should let Frank Miller take it from here. Frank?

As far as Firestorm goes, does anyone else think that, perhaps, he transforms Caitlin into Killer Frost? Doesn't he have transmutative powers that can change the composition of matter? Hell, you could have Captain Cold use his Cold gun on her (judging by the promo, he and heatwave take her hostage), and, perhaps, Ronnie attempts to save her by making the material a part of her DNA (or, perhaps, he accidentally combines her DNA with the properties of Cold's freeze gun while trying to stop Cold from using it on her?

Nah, we all know who the real detective is on Team Arrow. Oracle... err... Felicity. :lol

You and me both, brotha'. :hi5:

Love that comic page, year One Gordon is probably the only time I was reading and as interested in Gordon as I was in Bruce. Miller's Gordon was great.

I love the Wells as future Flash theory that has been floating around. But that may be too dark and twisted for tv audiences.

So do we think that Eddie will somehow gain Flash-like powers via the blood that Wells extracted from Farooq? Maybe he'll get injured like Hunter did in the comics? Maybe he travels from the future and is Wells' accomplice?

Just as a random thought, I've never seen Cavanaugh in anything before, which is too bad, I think hes a scene stealer, hes great, even when hes not saying a word. Perfect casting for someone hiding a key secret to the story.

He was awesome as a Televangelist on The Following, and he was hilarious as JD's brother Dan on Scrubs. Those are the only other things I know of.

He was also on Ed and that short lived series where he runs a record label.

Holy **** :thud: what an episode, the production values, the direction, the script, everything was non plus ultra for TV quality, the script and directing were IMO, film-like quality.

My only complaint is a minor one, and is that Caitlin and Ronnie's scenes should've been a lot more emotional.

I LOVED Reverse Flash, such a badass interpretation here, I have no doubts they'll do justice to Grodd.

Seeing Firestorm fly out without the CGI looking bad, and the rest of the mentioned good stuff in this episode, makes me think they can totally make a top notch Batman or Superman shows, I like Arrow and all, but he's really one of the lowest tier characters there is.

Every character is rich and contributes a great deal to the show, this is definitely THE superhero show, this is how a Superhero show is DONE. :rock

That was a great episode. I still think it's some form of Eddie in the RF suit, but Wells is obviously behind everything. Neat bringing in Firestorm!

The Flash winter finale was better than AGENTS OF SHIELD !

AOS sucks. That show was a complete bore until the Hydra takeover. And was still meh.

I can't believe I forgot to mention one of the best parts: Dean Martin. Superheroes and Rat Packs doth a happy batfan make.

Technical stuff was going wrong and technical words were causing a brief failure in the forcefield

I'm pretty sure Wells did that on purpose and it was designed to fail. I also think when he told Zoom that he based the force field on the Flash's abilities he basically let him know how to get through it. In the comics Flash has been able to vibrate through force fields and considering Zoom has been at this for awhile he knew he could do that. Just my opinion though.
