I guess I'm used to hearing it in MW2, but butthurt just sounds funny. Most of the people I heard saying it were the guys that just lost a match and not happy about it.

Dante's Inferno can stand alone as a good game. Not great, certainly not original, but solid and damn fun.

The demo showed it has the potential to be a great game. I LOVE the fact its a clone of GOW because those games are freaking sick!

how many hours of story play is this suppose to have? I read a quick review and it said something like "it will provide a good 8 hours of entertainment" or something like that.

8 hours? it cant be that short can it?

how long should games be? personally I think they need to be a good 15-20 hours at least.

I haven't read anything but I'd say it will vary depending on what level you try. There's a card inside talking about how there is several things of DLC coming. One of them is a prequel level which should be interesting.

Well considering that they were probably playing on the easy or intermediate level that could be one reason it took only 8 hours. Beating it on any level unlocks the hardest difficulty so I'm sure most people will play it a second time just for that one.

I have a PSP Slim (2000 series), don't want to upgrade to the PSP Go, because I feel the 'next-gen' for PSP is coming very soon! :)

Only Hired D.I out, so can't play it anymore (at the moment).
I got up too the 6th Circle Heresy.
Good game, nice visuals Hi-Res Cinematics are great, however the Tapestry stories shown in the Circles of Hell seem out of place but ah well still a good game

I don't have that much time to invest in a game. LOL! I play for maybe an hour when I boot up a game. Plus you have to take into account all the times they died. Sure the game may tell them 8 hours but you can usually tack on a few more hours of time spent replaying ____ because you died. Personally unless a game takes 2 hours to beat real time I don't fret much about length. I have a full time job that requires me to be on call 24 hours a day. So I'm good. :lol Hell it took me over a year to get all the medals and such in Oblivion. Hahaha!

you don't want something to last forever to feel victorious, but a game needs to have either a decent sized story or lots and lots of replay value.

Sports games or racing games you can play for 100s of hours if you wanted to. Shooter games same thing.

God of War...can't really do that unless you want to relive the same script over and over again. So for those scripted games IMO they need to last good 20 hours to justify dropping $50-$60.

I know, right?
You're walking along and all of the sudden, you cut to the tapestry story. Seems they could have integrated that a little better.

But still an enjoyable game.

The review rating of this game is a bite low but I love it. People don't like it just because it is a clone of GOW.

I really like this game, but the boss fights can be a bit of a pain in the butt. I just got to a part where I threw the controller in a "WTF?" situation.

K so I just clocked D.I last night. Must say I enjoyed the game, and I don't understand the bad reviews as its not that bad at all.
And the Final Cutscene in the game sets D.I up for a Sequel :rock
Lets hope the developers can fix the mistakes they made next time around.
Also does anyone know how many waves in the Gates of Hell arena there are? Last night I got up to 31 got bored and turn the PS3 off :lol

the divine comedies are a set of 3

if the do make a sequel then it'll be call Dante's Purgatorio

Oh I didn't realize they were a set of three
Hopefully a sequel will give developers time to see ways in which they could fix the game

This game is pretty damn solid. I played it for a good hour last night. The graphics are pretty good and the sound effects are fantastic. I don't know it's a nice change of pace from playing shooters.

Agreed with all of the above. Finished the game yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it (man, Fraud was indeed an endurance test! :google ) Awesome appetizer for GOW III.

What I'm interested in is if they do follow The Divine Comedy as the basis for a trio of games, what could they possibly do in the 3rd (Dante's Paradise) that would have any combat?? I can see combat in Purgatory, but in Heaven? :angelsmil :lol Maybe it'd just be a bunch of platforming and puzzle-solving? That'd get old quick, though. But oh well, Purgatory comes next anyway. And if they make it, I'm there.

Started this game last nignt - it's interesting - though I have to say some of the controls are a bit shoddy. I got the PS3 version because it came with the "Epic Poem" which I thought might actually be spoken or have some visuals or something - but is really just the dang poem that you can read - which is a waste since I already have 2 copies of the Divine Comedy.

Anyway, rambling - I know people hate the GOW reference, but dang does it apply well here. Only thing is I like the way the controls for GOW are set up better. There are too many things in this game that are beyond frustrating.

Other than me wanting to smash my controller to bits on occasion, it's an interesting story....though it does seem to fly by fast. I started this last night after Bioshock2, played for a couple hours and I'm already heading into the 5th circle of Hell. I have a feeling this game will be over before I know it.
