Wow those figures are awesome... kinda makes you wonder how many lines almost made it to stores, but got nixed for one reason or another?

BTW, does AFA grade prototypes? I thought they had to be produced items?

They do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Isn't AFA pretty much pointless and a fraud?

The only authority they actually have is because there's people who would actually pay them to do nothing but "carefully inspect" your item and put it a stamp and a box and charge you hundreds of dollars so you feel better about your collection...or if you want to cash in when selling your stuff.

Truth is, there's always somebody naive enough to pay a lot of money for a graded figure when they can get it a lot cheaper just without the box and stamp...

Anyway, back to topic, it sucks that the Urac are already sold out...:(

The only thing AFA is good for IMHO are the cases but you can buy them on the secondary market and skip the BS. I really think they are a sham of a company. Grading is rediculous...

As for Urac, keep checking back. From what I was told, there was only a small initial allotment of the MINDstyle pieces sold at SDCC by ToyTokyo. I believe what was on the site was leftover from that show. The rest will be sold at a later date. There were 1,500 of the Uracs total and I highly doubt at that price they'd all be gone already...

Man, I still have my DC lunchbox from when I was a kid... and its actually in pretty good condition. I had it on display at work for awhile.

And that Landstrider statue is sick1 I've always thought they were one of the more unique designs in a movie full of unique designs.

Oh P!tu, you cheeky monkey you...

How did you know my intermost secrets and darkest desires!?!

Actually if I remember correctly I stopped carrying it after I let some sloppy joe sit in it and my mom switched me to a plastic box. Maybe thats when I got my Droids one?

Indeed. That plus, to be honest, I don't like that Urac statue. It doesn't look
anything like the movie creature. I know it's based on a Froud sketch, but IMO that's a strange decision.

I remember when Sideshow was going to do a Skeksis and a Mystic to go with the Jen and Kira figures. I was so sad when they announced that it wouldn't happen after all....:monkey2

Yes me too. But that's because they're Gelfling didn't do well. Fans wanted much better Gelflings.

I have it and I'd say it's totally worth it. I have a not so good pic..

It's really a nice piece. I wish I had been buying these Plan B busts a long time ago.

Thanks!
That Garthim is quite big! (Compared to the Urskeks) Looks very good.
Do you also have good pics of that Landstrider?

Here's my landstrider. The eyes on the landstrider look really red and odd in the pic but in person that's not noticible at all.

Wow, he's big! It's based on Froud's design from the World of DC book. Right?
Colorwise it's different from the movie version.

Yeah, the mindstyle Dark Crystal figures are based on Froud's design work from books/sketches so they aren't movie accurate. They still looks mighty fine though (even if I still think they are a wee tad overpriced). At Comic-con mindstyle had an unpainted Aughra figure as well. I'm hoping that will see the light of day for collectors soon.
