Damn dude... not sure what the "accident" was, but like Bob Ross says it must have been a "happy accident" becaue the paint job looks awesome!!!

Can we never mention this again? Let's call it a slip in judgment. Like dressing up as Michael Jackson for a kid's birthday party. Awkward.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Happy little trees. :peace

Whatever the accident was, you did a heck of a job fixing it. Han looks great!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys..... Yeah, accidents do happen, so it was a learning experience. Luckily I had a pretty cool customer and he was understanding of the situation, so at least it worked out in the end...

All I know is that I am indeed happy with Solo now.... so that's always nice. :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Do you guys remember that 2nd FVJ Jason that I painted? Remember how badly I ruined that mask paintjob? Somehow I did not recapture the magic for that one and it always pressured me from the corner of the room....

"Repaint me...... Repaint me.... You lazy bastard.... REPAINT ME!!!"

SO I did....:D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Paul! I hate it when a paint application goes wrong. I never let it rest until it's right, no matter how many times I have to go back to it.

Right now I am eyeing my Sith Anakin..... :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Chase! Yeah, I figured that my skills had come full circle since I did that one... He needed to be revisited when I actually knew what I was doing... :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

You're doing some amazing work lately Josh. That Jason repaint is amazing!
I see some finger technique at work here! :D

Keep on rocking bro!

Thanks Les!! Oh yeah, after you gave me that tip.... my washes have had nothing but success! I used it on Jack, Han, Jason and Obi.... And it's fantastic!!

Jason's mask was a little tricky at spots, especially repainting the triangles and getting the color right. :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Did you touch up the eyes?/ Cause they are looking firey red here!!! Looks great!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks Chase! Yes, I totally repainted the entire head. I redid everything, including the eyes. My last paintjob with this character was just not up to par with the rest of my work, so he needed to be revisited. I think it turned out 100% better than the last time....

Now I'm eyeing Luke.... :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Your fleshtones, as always, are so natural and life-like. I know I've asked you this before but on your basecoat do you go with a darker, redder mix of flesh then add highlighting coats to a lighter shade? I'm always worried that if I make the basecoat too dark and red it will make it look like a sunburn.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks again Dave... no I used to use a darker base, but now I use a mix of warm skin tone and burnt sienna.. still dark, but not AS dark. It takes a bit of practice, but you'll find the best shade for you.... :D

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Looks great Josh, love the eyes... they really pop and stand out! Excellent work!
