Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Good find on that ghost face image, really shows where the key emobossing points lie with the eyes and how shadows really only show in certain points which defines the overall look.

If only McFarlane's figure had done the mask right, I might have forgiven the other flaws as the mask is my favorite part, but now we have Josh to give us redemption and deliver Ghost Face as it should be, and having Michael finally, it'd be great to have my own little icons of horror collection of figures from him. Start a lynch mob if you like, but I've never seen any Friday the 13th films and probably would want a DA Jason if I did, maybe I'll try to get my hands on some to watch this Halloween.

Josh, you and I see eye to eye on Halloween so I'll look for your judgement on F13, which films are must see in that series?

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks for the pics guys! :rock

And Sean... You MUST see a few of them, at least. I highly recommend 1-5. If you are gonna watch only a few and only a few... I would say... 2,3, and 4. But 1-5 fit together so nicely, with a story that runs them all together.

Thanks for the tip Josh, I think I'll be treating myself in the DVD section soon :)

3 & 5 are the ones with young Tommy and older Tommy (respectively) right?

Those are my faves.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Ahhh---I'm all screwed-up.

I thought there was a gap between the "tommy story" though? Didn't the Roy movie come in between those?

Yes Roy was in part 5 but so was grown up Tommy. Then in part 6 Tommy appeared again but as a different actor.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

This is a good time of year to watch them as well...

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Yeah, the Friday films are Classics... Really amazing films. At least the first 5. 6 was awesome too, but starting to get cheesy. 7 and 8 were laughable, but at least 7 had the most amazing makeup for Jason. JGTH is a piece of steaming dog crap. HORRIBLE movie. So is Jason X.

But the first movies rock, especially for Slasher fans. Everyone should own that Crystal Lake to Manhattan Box set. :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Which Friday had Corey Feldman in it? I've seen some of that one and part of Part 2 once, wasn't a fan of the potato sack look.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Corey Feldman was in part 4. 1-4 are the most brutal and scary in parts. part 5 was pretty much a gorefest. Part 6 is my favorite, the most well-made and entertaining.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And before we get to far, have you seen Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser or (the Original) Texas Chainsaw Massacre? All should be viewed now before going any further in life :lecture

Haven't seen any of those. My horror experience is limited to:

Halloween Series
Hannibal Lecter Trilogy (I'll never consider Hannibal rising, it's Hopkins or nothing)
Leprechaun (a few movies from that series, young Jennifer Aniston :drool)
Scream Trilogy
The Ring 1 & 2
The Grudge (hated it)
Cabin Fever
Secret Window (not so much horror but it's got that feel)
Sleepy Hollow

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Sean, you should definitely check out the Nightmare on Elm Street series. Also, I'd recommend the Shining.
