Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Thanks guys... Last night I slept HARD.. Sweat throughout the night, slept through my alarm this morning, missed my first class... :banghead

BUT, I think it helped. I feel a LOT better, and my stomach is not doing barrel rolls any more. So I will be trying to do some of what I was going to do this weekend, today. :rock

Thanks for all of the well wishes, it helped keep my spirits up in between toilet hugging sessions. I can't tell you how much that meant to me.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Glad to hear you're feeling better Josh, sometimes we need to miss a class or two to contribute to the greater good :rock

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Hello Josh, how is my Joker coming along?

I still have to send out that 20 bucks for that shirt. I can have it sent out Thursday.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

The Jokers are progressing slow but steady. I'm working on the heads en masse right now, trying to do it all at once. Next I will do all of the vests together in one heap. It's the best way to get it done and stop procrastinating on it. Right now I am focusing on the Halloween/Roy/Jason stuff first to try and catch it during the season. Jokers will all go out before Christmas time/DVD release for sure. Hopefully faaaar sooner.

I have 5 of the shirts already, from BillyB... for those who paid. The next Joker I show will have that shirt on it, so you will see what it's about. But only those who have sent money will have that one. I still have to go through my records to know exactly who has already.

But lots coming...

Nice!

You'll be getting something from me on friday. I hope I can count on my 2 Myers by Halloween as well.

Thanks, man!

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Well, I was inspired to revisit Josh's Myers thanks to Voorhees' new acquisition.

First, Michael encounters another smart ass drifter.

Amazing work again, Sean! That John Rambo didn't see it coming. :lol

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

And for those patiently waiting for your Michael figures, I want to show you why you're waiting and why it's worth it. Josh spares no time or effort on the details in this figure.

A.jpg

I can't believe how realistically he dirtied and wore out the heels of the jumpsuit, it's crazy at this scale.

B.jpg

Here you can see some of the weathering, both at a fabric level and at a coloring level, of the jumpsuit, just fantastic, very real-world, used looking, adds great authenticity and realism to it.

C.jpg

More weathering on the leg and some amazing mud and dirt work on the top side of the boots.

D.jpg

And not like most folks will ever see it, but he takes the time to properly wear out the bottoms of the boots too, just because it's realistic.

E.jpg

F.jpg

And lastly, the blood work on the hands and knife, first rate.

I understand the eagerness some of you may be feeling for this figure, but hopefully I've been able to alleviate that a bit showing you just how worth the waiting is.

Re: DarkArtist's Creations of DOOM!

Damn, those are some great shots Sean!!! Josh did an amazing job on that:rock

I hope I get mine by Halloween:rock:rock:rock:rock

I do not see the same amount of weathering in your jumpsuit as is on maul fans. Did you order just a head? :lol

You hit the nail on the head, my buddy Roy bought the head by itself. :duff

And SEAN!! Dude... THANK YOU for those pics, It's amazing even to me to see the small things brought to a larger size. I work hard on the jumpsuits to give them as much detail and dirt as I possibly can. And getting my hands on those awesome Tamiya weathering sticks, that helped a lot. That's where I get that badass mud effect.

I just wanted him to look as real as possible, and any mechanics' coveralls are going to be filthy and WORN. So that's what I tried to do. I also LOVE those pics of Myers murdering Rambo, that was hilarious.... :lol

Tonight, to update you guys... I finished ALL of the Roy outer masks (the hoods), and one of the inner faces. Just need to do 5 more inner faces and dirty the clothing. The jumpsuits have already been sanded and given the proper holes.

I also got more casting supplies, so I am trying to make the masks I need.

Also, the Dream Jasons should be done here in the coming days. As well as the Part VIII's.

This weekend is all about Myers hairing... :rock

I'm thinking of buying an SSC Willow to have a female figure for my murder shots and all, I don't have many victims in my collection to work with, I figured Mulder's taken enough abust, let Rambo take a fall, that and Rambo was more quickly accessible than Mulder :lol

:lol It worked really well! Especially with John having that Hobo roll. :rock

And sorry I missed your call a few days ago bro, I will give a ring back here sometime this week.
